JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent is required to provide maintenance and support services for selected information systems software of the Ministry/Department. Duties include ensuring the security of the application data; supporting and maintaining the software applications; assisting with the enhancement of these software applications; providing training to key stakeholders on these systems; and supervising Technical and Support Staff as required:

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

Maintains the specified security controls required by policy to maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Ministry/Department’s information systems; and investigates and remedies related security incidents according to defined procedures.
Maintains knowledge of specific technical specialism in the software operations, maintenance and support area; and utilises this knowledge in performing job duties.
Assists with the support and maintenance of information systems, including the identification and mitigation of project risk, and the monitoring of costs, timescale and resources utilised.
Investigates operational support requirements and problems and identifies opportunities for improvements in the Ministry/Department-specific business functions and processes; and assists users in defining acceptance tests.
Elicits requirements from management and stakeholders of the Ministry/Department and confirms alignment with defined business objectives; and specifies, documents and prioritises these requirements in consultation with key stakeholders, in accordance with defined standards and practices.
Delivers learning activities, such as training, on the information systems of the Ministry/Department to a variety of audiences.
Assists with the development of software tests, and with the execution of the system and acceptance testing of modified or enhanced information systems, particularly for those areas of technical specialisation.
Assesses, analyses, develops, documents and implements changes based on requests for change the information systems of the Ministry/Department, using defined change control procedures.
Assesses, analyses and implements software releases, including stakeholder coordination and release process maintenance, particularly for areas of technical specialisation.
Maintains software application support processes and ensures that all support requests are dealt with according to agreed procedures.
Investigates problems with the application software; and assists with the implementation of agreed solutions and preventative measures.
Supervises technical and support staff engaged in performing duties related to particular specialisation.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of software maintenance and enhancement processes and procedures.
Knowledge of project management tools and techniques.
Some knowledge of the tools and techniques required for the management and control of ICT within a government based or business organisation.
Some knowledge of relevant Public Service rules and regulations, instructions and procedures.
Ability to supervise technical and support staff.
Ability to think creatively and to enhance and maintain application software solutions.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing at a technical level, including at least eighteen (18) months’ experience in the maintenance, support and enhancement of software applications.
Training as evidenced by the possession of a recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering or a related area.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Project Coordinator reports to the Director of Curriculum Development and is required to provide managerial support to the Director in organizing, coordinating, and supervising the implementation of the Primary Schools Music Programme Unit. E – Learning Technical Assistant

JOB SUMMARY: –

The eLearning Technical Assistant (eLTA) is responsible for assisting the LMS Administrator with the semi-decentralized management of the LMS. The eLTA will be required to provide specialised, generalised and administrative support to an assigned group of schools. The incumbent will be required to provide direct assistance to teachers in the modification and provision of course shells and will also be responsible for student and teacher LMS related queries and overall support to stakeholders across the LMS in other areas, as guided by the LMS Administrator.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: –

Assist the LMS administrator with management and maintenance of the LMS.
Provide course shell provisioning support to teachers based upon schools under one’s purview on the LMS.
Assist with course enrolment where relevant, of students and teachers into their course shells.
Assist the LMS administrator with course management & archiving (with schools within the LMS under one’s purview) based upon articulated workflows and protocols.
Responding to requests for support (received via tickets, email or phone) from users on the platform.
Contribute to data retrieval and reports across the schools under one’s purview within the LMS.
Contribute to the development of asynchronous resources – F.A.Qs, written/video tutorials, website copy, etc.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for diagnosing and administering general medical treatment to patients in a hospital or through extension services at a Clinic, School or Clinic Mobile or other designated place. He / She perform under the general supervision of a professional superior who is available for consultation and is reviewed through observation, consultation and analysis of findings and reports.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review and advise on MOE protocols and practices relevant to the COVID-19 pandemic
Provide on the spot direction to MOE Staff and students with respect to suspected and positive cases of COVID-19
Review fully, all patients admitted and their case histories and physical examination documented within twelve (12) hours of admission, including a diagnosis and/or differential diagnosis with clear indication of the major reason for admission and any other subsidiary or secondary problems or complications.
Conduct medical examinations and prescribe for more detailed attention as may appear necessary.
Examine government employees and other categories of persons in accordance with government policy.
Provide medical attention to ECCE, primary and secondary students and all Ministry of Education staff
Provide liaison services between the MOE and County Medical Officers of Health
Undertake medico-legal duties as may be reasonably required with specialist advice if necessary.
Record patients’ clinical status on day of discharge. The final diagnosis and relevant investigations on discharge should also be recorded. Patients’ treatment on discharge should be recorded and clear statement as to how long such therapy is indicated must be made. The disposal of the patient on discharge must be clearly recorded.
Conduct functions as required by their reporting officer.
Ensure that case summaries of the patient’s problem and progress to discharge (or otherwise) are forwarded to the referring Doctor as soon as possible after patient’s discharge.
Complete all case summaries within three (3) weeks (21 days) of the patient’s disposal from unit.
Provide acceptable medical care and accurate documentation of all patients’ treatment under his/her care.
Performs any other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of the principles and practices of medicine including the diagnosis of a variety of diseases and injuries.
Knowledge of principles and practices of preventative medicine.
Knowledge of Public Health Ordinance and of medical jurisprudence.
Ability to examine patients, diagnose, to prescribe and administer necessary treatment.
Ability to gain confidence and do-operation of patients, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Training as evidenced by the possession of a recognised Medical Degree.
Successful completion of one (1) year internship at a Hospital.
Registration as a Medical practitioner by the Medical Board of Trinidad & Tobago.
