Job Description

6. Manages governance policy administration, through the review and analysis of issues and trends, preparation of evaluations or other research activities and studies.
7. Monitors and evaluates assigned governance projects by reviewing relevant documents and reports; identifying problems and issues to be addressed and proposing corrective actions; liaising with relevant stakeholders; identifying and tracking follow-up actions.
8. Executes governance related meetings by proposing and seeking consensus on agenda topics, identifying the relevant participants, preparing the strategic documents and presentations to guide governance policies.

Job Description

The Solutions Architect would be responsible for the development of the technology solutions and mapping the business requirements to systems/technical requirements to ensure they are in line with the MDT’s architectural plan. The solution architect ensures that applications are implemented in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. The Solution architect will also assure that the solution design is done in accordance with industry IT standard and meets MDT operational standards for compliance, security and availability.

Key and Critical Responsibilities

1. Ensures the alignment of the MDT’s architectural plan bydeveloping the technology solutions and mapping the business requirements to systems/technical requirements.
2. Executes the optimal performance of applications by ensuring the most efficient and cost-effective manner is used in its implementation and ensuringthat the solution design is done in accordance with industry IT standard and meets MDT operational standards for compliance, security and availability.
3. Develops and improves the system’ architecture by conducting architecture evaluations and collaborating with project management and IT development team.
4. Supports the ideology of continuous improvement by frequently researching and keepingup to date with emerging technologies and proposing changes to existing architecture.
5. Maintains and improves projects by evaluating project constrains to find alternatives, alleviate risks, and perform re-engineering if required.
6. Consults with management and engineering teams, by providing technical advice regarding business analysis, project management, IT architecture, infrastructure, cloud development, and software architecture design.
7. Ensuresthe facts and details of projects and reporting are correct by actively applying and accurate representation of expertise prior to the distribution of technical solutions to end-users so that the project’s/program’s deliverable(s) will meet the needs of the stakeholders, legislation, policies, standards, and best practices.
8. Ensures the correct application of knowledge and expertise by verifyingtechnical reference information or contributing to the development by reviewing user guides, training manuals, and system requirements.
9. Consults with Project/Programme Manager by providing feedback on IT operations and ongoing projects.
10. Cultivates and maintains effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, project managers, engineers and senior staff membersby actively participating in multiple workgroups at one time and disseminating information across all levels of the organization.
11. Articulates and communicates information effectively to diverse audiencesby translating subject matter terminology into business terms and recommending alternatives to both senior management and software developers as well as performs demonstrations in a variety of settings.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

1. Knowledge of software development process and technical skills.
2. Knowledge of computer software, hardware and computer languages.
3. Knowledge of developing IT and cloud infrastructure.
4. Knowledge of best practices regarding system security measures.
5. Knowledge and advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes.
6. Knowledge of various operating systems and database

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Ability to identify, test and manage risk; Risk Identification and Management skills.
2. Ability to communicate with all stakeholders, by conveying and adapting to technical language and  non-technical when necessary; Communication skills.
3. Ability to manage and train staff for software projects and computer architecture projects in a team environment; Project Management Skills.
4. Ability to keep projects on schedule and within budget; Organizational and time management skills.
5. Ability to see the connections between layers of business operations, Excellent analytical skills.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• A bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or related program.
• At least three years of experience with network administration or information technology systems.
• Experience in software engineering and design architecture
