      5. Manages changes to project scope, by analyzing all changes related to costs, schedule, scope and quality and ensuring that all changes are documented and approved.
      6. Maintains project documentation, plans and reports by preparing Cabinet Notes, reports, presentations and other documents on project matters for management, and reviewing status and other reports prepared by project personnel.
      7. Executes deliverables that comply with agreed standards by monitoring and managing project quality.
      8. Develops and offer recommendations and implementation solutions by continuously monitoring, managing and responding to project risks and issues.
      9. Manages and monitors efficiency of contractors/consultants and outsourcing services by overseeing their work and evaluating their performance to ensure optimal performance and compliance with contract.
      10. Ensures the coordination in all areas by convening meetings on project matters with management, project staff, contractors/consultants and other stakeholders.
      11. Performs other duties as assigned.

      5. Considerable knowledge of relevant procedures, rules, regulations and policies of the Central Tenders Board Ordinance.

      • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project management, including a minimum of three (3) years in leading projects.
      • Training as evidenced by:
        A Masters’ degree in Project Management from a recognised institution.
        OR
        A Masters’ degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Management or the Social Sciences together with professional qualifications such as the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, PRINCE2 etc

      Job Description

      The Solutions Architect would be responsible for the development of the technology solutions and mapping the business requirements to systems/technical requirements to ensure they are in line with the MDT’s architectural plan. The solution architect ensures that applications are implemented in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. The Solution architect will also assure that the solution design is done in accordance with industry IT standard and meets MDT operational standards for compliance, security and availability.

      Key and Critical Responsibilities

      1. Ensures the alignment of the MDT’s architectural plan bydeveloping the technology solutions and mapping the business requirements to systems/technical requirements.
      2. Executes the optimal performance of applications by ensuring the most efficient and cost-effective manner is used in its implementation and ensuringthat the solution design is done in accordance with industry IT standard and meets MDT operational standards for compliance, security and availability.
      3. Develops and improves the system’ architecture by conducting architecture evaluations and collaborating with project management and IT development team.
      4. Supports the ideology of continuous improvement by frequently researching and keepingup to date with emerging technologies and proposing changes to existing architecture.
      5. Maintains and improves projects by evaluating project constrains to find alternatives, alleviate risks, and perform re-engineering if required.
      6. Consults with management and engineering teams, by providing technical advice regarding business analysis, project management, IT architecture, infrastructure, cloud development, and software architecture design.
      7. Ensuresthe facts and details of projects and reporting are correct by actively applying and accurate representation of expertise prior to the distribution of technical solutions to end-users so that the project’s/program’s deliverable(s) will meet the needs of the stakeholders, legislation, policies, standards, and best practices.
      8. Ensures the correct application of knowledge and expertise by verifyingtechnical reference information or contributing to the development by reviewing user guides, training manuals, and system requirements.
      9. Consults with Project/Programme Manager by providing feedback on IT operations and ongoing projects.
      10. Cultivates and maintains effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, project managers, engineers and senior staff membersby actively participating in multiple workgroups at one time and disseminating information across all levels of the organization.
      11. Articulates and communicates information effectively to diverse audiencesby translating subject matter terminology into business terms and recommending alternatives to both senior management and software developers as well as performs demonstrations in a variety of settings.
      12. Performs other duties as assigned.
