Trinidad Generation Unlimited (TGU) manages a major fuel-efficient power plant in Trinidad and Tobago.
The 720-megawatt (MW) TGU facility is a combined-cycle power plant which is owned by the National Investment Fund, the latter is a wholly owned entity of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago (GoRTT), the plant and is located at the Union Industrial Estate, La Brea.
The company also has a Head Office located in the Colfire Building, Mulchan Seuchan Road, Chaguanas.
TGU is fully staffed by nationals with expertise and a track record of performance that allows us to meet the rigid standards of HSE, operability and reliability of the facility.
From inception, Trinidad Generation Unlimited has focused on high performance by building  our business model on standards for successful international Independent Power Producers (IPPs).

TGU is currently seeking to hire a suitably qualified person for the following position:
HUMAN RESOURCE SPECIALIST – ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (2-YEAR CONTRACT)
JOB PURPOSE
This position is responsible for coordinating and supporting the design, implementation and evaluation of Organization Development strategies and programs, to foster a work culture that focuses on leadership, teamwork and high performance in support of the operational and strategic goals of the company.
QUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors in Business Administration or Human Resource Management.
- A minimum of 10 yearsâ experience in Human Resource, with a minimum of 7 yearsâ experience working in organizational development and change management.
- Experience in a power plant environment or process plant environment will be an asset.
- Exposure to the administration of Human Resources in a state entity will be an asset.
CARICOM nationals who possess a CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME) Certificate are eligible to apply.

JOB PURPOSE
This position is responsible for developing and implementing company-wide training, learning, and development programs to build competency as it relates to the requirements of specific jobs and functional areas to support the operational and strategic goals of the company.
QUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors in Business Administration or Human Resource Management.
- A minimum of 10 yearsâ experience in Human Resource, 7 years of which should be in Training and Development, designing and implementing employee development programs.
- Experience in a power plant environment or process plant environment will be an asset.
- Train-the-Trainer Certification will be considered an asset.
- Exposure to the administration of Human Resources in a state entity will be an asset.

JOB PURPOSE
This position is responsible for planning, implementing and coordinating the communications plans, projects and initiatives of the company to ensure achievement of established corporate goals and commitments.
 QUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelorâs Degree Corporate Communications, Marketing or equivalent.
- Public Relations Certification will be an asset.
- A minimum of 7 yearsâ experience, 5 years of which must be in a similar position.
- Experience in a power plant environment or process plant environment will be an asset.
- Exposure to the administration of Corporate Communications in a state entity will be an asset.

 QUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelorâs Degree in Business Administration or Human Resource Management.
- Professional Human Resource certification.
- A minimum of 10 yearsâ experience in Human Resource Management, with a minimum of 7 years in Workforce Planning or related projects.
- Experience in a power plant environment or process plant environment will be an asset.
- Project Management Certification will be considered an asset.
- Exposure to the administration of Human Resources in a state entity will be an asset.

CORPORATE SERVICES MANAGER
JOB PURPOSE
The Corporate Services Manager manages the overall administration of the organizationâs corporate services, inclusive of the Human Resources, Community Affairs, Public Relations and the communications portfolios of the business. The position must consistently fulfil these requirements in accordance with TGUâs business objectives, policy guidelines, and core values, through the effective use and management of the available systems, material, financial and human resources.
This role is tasked with overseeing day-to-day activities and improving performance of the respective functional areas, and participating in directing organizational strategy, developing organizational culture and creating business plans.
QUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
- Post Graduate qualifications in Business Administration
- Post graduate qualifications or certification in Public Relations and/or Communications will be an asset.
- A minimum of 10 yearsâ experience in Administration and Human Resource Management, eight (8) of which must be at a management level.
- Knowledge of the Institutional, and Statutory Frameworks in which the above functions are performed.
- Exposure to the administration of human resources and corporate governance in a state entity will be an asset.
CARICOM nationals who possess a CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME) Certificate are eligible to apply.
