We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to fill the position of: IT SECURITY SPECIALIST
JOB SUMMARY:
The IT Security Specialist will report to the Chief Information Officer. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing safety measures and controls, ensuring that all members of staff are adequately trained as required in the domain of IT security. The IT Security Specialist will also be responsible for monitoring network activity and applications to identify any vulnerabilities and act on these for quick resolution. He/she shall be proactive to ensure known weaknesses are removed, anticipate requirements and ensure network elements and applications are at the latest required patch levels. The incumbent will monitor for any privacy breaches across all the IT related services and prevent where possible any malware threats with urgency. He/she will make appropriate recommendations to improve IT Security across all applications and the network environments.
KEY DELIVERABLES: –
Security Management:
? Analyses IT specifications to assess security risks, evaluated trends, anticipate requirements and implement security improvements.
? Monitors and utilizes intrusion detection systems and security tools for the identification of suspicious and malicious activities and inadequate security across the network (e.g., analyzes network traffic, vulnerability scans, identification of computer viruses, unauthorized user activity) which may compromise the integrity and availability of systems.
? Assists in technical and forensic investigations in response to threats and incidents and participates in the development and implementation of solutions to mitigate and/or eliminate IT Security risk.
? Report recognized or potential Information Security threats and other Information Security issues.
? Demonstrates understanding of security and controls policies, processes, and procedures through application in situations where security consultations are requested.
? Assists in consultations regarding security and controls architecture.
? Provides guidance on security and controls within the Network and with online technology and applications.
? Identifies areas of risk on technology-related projects where security requirements cannot be fully addressed in the required timeframe of the project.Business Continuity:
? Designs and implements safety measures and data recovery plans as part of the overall business and disaster recovery plan.
? Performs periodic self-audits, tests and reviews of the Information Security program to ensure that systems are operating as authorized/accredited and that conditions have not changed; and
? Collaborates with stakeholders within the organization to improve existing best practices, correct ineffective practices, and address security gaps as needed
? Operational Effectiveness:
? Ensures effective and efficient utilization of assigned resources toward achieving operational goals and standards.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: –
You will have a bachelor’s degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering (Computer Systems major) or Computer Science or related qualification with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role and proven experience as an IT Security Specialist.You must have knowledge of patching, firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems and demonstrate familiarity with security frameworks, security standards, risk assessment, risk management methodologies, key infrastructure and cryptographic protocols.

CARGO COORDINATOR – MIAMI
JOB SUMMARY:
The Cargo Coordinator – Miami will report to the Manager, Cargo Operations North America. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the efficient and timely movement of Cargo via passenger flights as well as freighter flights. The Cargo Coordinator will work with the Ground Handling Agent to ensure that operational services are contracted to the standards outlined in the Service Level Agreements (SLA) and provide sales support. The Cargo Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring station compliance with regulatory authorities.
KEY DELIVERABLES:
• REPORTING: Ensures the delivery of accurate and timely operational and other reports, with a view to supporting effective data analysis and decision-making.• OPERATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS: Ensures effective and efficient utilisation of assigned resources towards achieving operational goals and standards.• CUSTOMER SERVICE: Ensures constant engagement with the existing customer base, facilitates excellent service delivery, and goes beyond service expectations to assist customers by implementing mutually beneficial solutions.• SAFETY AND REGULATORY COMPLIANCE: Execute corporate safety, security and quality policies to ensure all stakeholders are fully compliant with all regulatory requirements, operational and quality standards.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
You are required to have at least three (3) years’ experience in an operations and customer service function in the cargo industry, preferably in the airline industry. You must also possess a High School Diploma and be proficient in the use of MS Office Suite with particular emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint. You must have knowledge of reservations systems (in particular Supercargo) and in-depth knowledge of cargo operations and procedures. Certification in Lean Six Sigma Black belt or green belt will be considered an asset.You must exhibit a strong customer orientation while focusing on profitability and productivity and excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation. You must possess strong influencing skills, leadership ability and an innovative mindset. Knowledge of customs operations, IATA, FAA, FDA, TSA, TTCAA and/or any other regulatory requirement framework, supervisory experience and experience in the aviation industry will be regarded as an asset.You will be employed on a shift basis. JOB SUMMARY:The Sales Executive – Cargo (Miami) will report to the Head of Sales -Cargo. The incumbent will sell according to the Cargo sales strategy in Miami and the North American Region to freight forwarders, businesses, and industrial establishments desirous of shipping their products to our jurisdictions, thereby increasing the company’s market share. As a member of the Cargo Sales team, the incumbent will be responsible for developing a solid Caribbean Airlines footprint in the Air Freight forwarding market in their region, winning additional logistics business in the area/country. He/she will also support the Cargo Sales & Marketing Plan by driving and conducting the sales initiatives and tactics required to accomplish the stated KPIs and sales quotas.
KEY DELIVERABLES:
• Maintains existing customer relations as well as expands our customer base with new ones, whilst keeping the customer portfolio up to date at all times by administrating data in the available CRM-system• Captures sales opportunities for all products; performs all sales tasks necessary to turn prospects into sales conversions using the most effective techniques and strategies.
• Develops strategies to produce maximum profitable revenue and margin to meet weekly/ monthly sales targets.
• Follows and analyses the economic and social changes of the region and raises the relevant information to senior management
• Maintains sales calls and visits weekly and retains records of all calls and other business activities in the approved format.
• Produces sales reports on a current basis in the pre-determined format. Makes inquiries and updates the system on the status of customer shipments.
• Prepares proposals to obtain sales to include price, credit and other terms. Prepares letters and information packages for prospective customers.
• Completes all necessary related documents and makes all arrangements relative to sales activities.
• Communicates possible other logistic services, such as our multimodal transport, cargo insurance, and storing solutions for your customers’ portfolio, and share with the Sales team to promote and follow up.
• Communicates with operations and sales team daily to ensure effective delivery of customer needs.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
You must be academically qualified in Business Management or Marketing at a degree level. Certification in Transport/Logistics or Air Transportation will be an asset. You will have five (5) years of experience in a Cargo sales environment. You will have proven success and an excellent track record in Freight Forwarding/Shipping and Logistics. You will have a good knowledge of the Miami and North American markets. You must be Computer literate, competent in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word and ideally CargoSpot or similar cargo operations and terminal management system.Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for customer service are essential. Participates in the building and nurturing of critical alliances and partnerships. Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence credibly and effectively at all levels is required.
