Food Prep Assistants
Allied Caterers Limited is a member of the GCG Group which operates in 21 locations across the Caribbean and Latin America. We are seeking to recruit dynamic and highly motivated individuals to join the team in the capacity of Cooks and General Assistants in our Production department.
Duties:
- Inspects, cleans, sort, wash/sanitize and rinse vegetables/meats/other raw materials, ensuring adherence of quality compliance is maintained.
- Ensures accurate and efficient storage of items through proper labeling of item content, packaging, and storage units.
- Prepares raw ingredients / cooked food in components required for meals in accordance with standardized specifications; ensuring client quantity and weight requirements are met and quality surpassed
- Manages the retrieval and return of containers and other equipment needed for assembly from the Equipment and Sanitation Departments.
- Practices the required quality control procedures (HACCP) in the storage and or processing of raw materials and or finished products. Maintains a sanitary workspace and equipment
- Complete temperature records with accurate information on a timely basis. On a needs basis, even during food prep and assembly.
- Ensure catering is completed in a timely manner and properly labeled and stored in the holding chiller to maintain proper temperatures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Three o’ levels, including English Language,
- Knowledge of basic Food Preparation.
- Experience working in a butchery or with meats will be considered
- Training as evidenced by a certificate of completion in key HACCP principles.
- At least one (1) year experience working in the food service industry.
- At least one (1) year working in team-oriented environment.
These roles are being offered on a contract basis.
