Make money while being realistic

The ‘get rich quick’ chase is real. People are planning daily on how to make money using very little capital and effort in as little time as possible. They watch videos, flip through the classifieds, and constantly search on the internet for easy ways to make money. Even when one plan does not work for them they try another that offers the same promise. Unless you are extremely gifted or happen to fall within the one percent of lucky ducks who did the right thing at the right time to land in some good fortune easily, then you need to be realistic when planning to make money.

You buy before you sell to make money

You’ve heard many times ‘if it’s too good to be true, then it probably is’ and ‘you can’t get something for nothing’. A lot of ideas to make money easily require you to invest a small fee that would turn huge profits.

Realistically, even though it costs next to nothing to get the idea started, you would need to advertise it for people to know about it. You need to spend money on transportation, new clothing, new equipment, and a new look that would impress prospective customers. These expenses add up so before you hand over that small fee to a convincing seller, do your calculations first.

It takes time and effort to get it right

The term ‘easy money’ describes activities that allow you to get paid quickly for doing very little work. Unfortunately, these activities are usually illegal, degrading or disgusting. If you are a law abiding citizen, you choose to maintain a good reputation, and you are interested in keeping your hands clean, then you should stop looking for easy ways to make money.

Be realistic when starting a project. They all require you to invest a lot of time and energy to do it properly. Make a long-term plan by setting short goals to achieve within six months, one year and five years.
