Job Profile Summary
bp is hiring a Regulatory Compliance Environmental & Social (RCE&S) Discipline Lead who will be responsible for discipline leadership of the projects RCE&S teams on our bp operated projects globally. RCE&S SME for project globally, setting the strategic direction for projects on RCE&S and Carbon and establish and implement RCE&S and Carbon plans, procedures and systems to provide support to the line, in line with the business strategy, our Sustainability Aims, HSE policy expectation and Advancing Energy Transition Strategy.

Overview
Leads as a role model for HSE&C, encouraging a strong ‘speak up and safety culture, and leads RCE&S Team in accordance with the Safety Leadership Principles, BP Values, and Behaviors, ethics and compliance, rules and processes whilst providing to the team performance management, capability assessment, technical development, and coaching.Champions RCE&S discipline health within projects and capability building and promotes longer-term development of the RCE&S discipline and supports the VP HSE&C Wells, Projects and Subsurface and Senior HSE&C Manager Projects in the HSSE discipline capability forum by representing the RCE&S Discipline.
Functional leadership of the project’s RCE&S teams on our bp operated project’s globally. RCE&S SME for project globally, setting the strategic direction for projects on RCE&S and Carbon and establish and implement RCE&S and Carbon plans, procedures and systems to provide support to the line in line with the business strategy, our Sustainability Aims, HSE policy expectation and Advancing Energy Transition Strategy.

Custodian of all project’s RCE&S Plans, Procedures and systems Sharing RCE&S knowledge and examples of good practice across internal networks.
Works with the project’s carbon advisor to define and support delivery of the Project’s Carbon Strategy and Plan with specific support to plan items on Building Carbon Culture and the workgroup on developing and implementing plans to reduce carbon emissions from project installation, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
Manages and Facilitates the project’s Carbon Steering Committee and Environmental contractor network.
Focal point for the project’s Labour Rights and Modern Slavery Practice, Biodiversity Aims (including Net Positive Impact), and the wider sustainability aims and supporting their implementation on projects.
Project’s Lead and SME in EDR/PHSSERs and Startup Reviews to verify conformance with project’s RCE&S and carbon Requirements and signatory to RCE&S start-up readiness requirements.
Conducts ongoing functional interactions with all projects globally to review and check progress on RCE&S and lower carbon options against Major Projects Common Process and the projects HSE Practice and provide coaching and support where required.
Be the focal point for BP-operated P&O and New Energy projects for RCE&S and carbon across the BP including technical input into GDPs, practices, and guides, and policy positions.
Providing input to DCF and Succession Planning for the RCE&S discipline and coaching and mentoring of the RCE&S project’s Discipline.
Leads the coordination and effective deployment of HSE Challengers within the Projects Portfolio
Participates in projects HSE&C Network, E S and C Discipline Leadership Network, , Social Practitioners Network, Global Biodiversity Network and Global Sustainability Network.

Education
Degree in Engineering, Science, Environment related required, MSc or PhD preferred. Professional chartered level qualification required e.g. IEMA Fellow or Chartered Status (or equivalent)Required Experience
