      • Develops Marine Emergency Response strategy and responds as necessary
      • Oversees operating and supply contracts with external Service Providers to ensure business needs are met and adherence to standards, regulations and operating practices.
      • Ensures a reliable supply of utilities (water, steam, air) and quality on demand by the facilities
      • Prioritizes and address cost challenges including operating and maintenance expenses
      • Ensures compliance with Asset Management Systems and Procedures
      • Implements HSEQ standards and ensures adherence to same
      • Communicates information effectively upwards and downwards
      • Develops strategic goals, objectives and key performance indicators for Section and utilizes Performance Management System to measure, manage, and motivate performance.

      Job Summary

      Reporting to the Manager – Human Resources, the HR Officer – Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning leads the development of the company’s Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning activities including its strategic staffing and succession management programs and provides support for the implementation of a global human resources strategy.  The position is also responsible for the planning, design, development, implementation, interpretation and administration of the company’s human resource management policies, programs, and procedures.  The position is also required to provide related support to the group of companies, PPGPL’s subsidiaries and new business ventures. These activities are also expected to be conducted safely, cost-effectively, and reliably and must be delivered in a manner that consistently adds value to the company’s overall business process.

      Dimensions

      The position of Human Resources Officer – Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning exercises delegated responsibility for the function and employs both pro-active and consultative approaches in the discharge of these responsibilities.  The position provides professional and technical services support to the company and its subsidiaries, has a high interpersonal interface, and is expected to draw extensively on the principles and practices of modern human resources management.  Externally the position must interface with human resource service providers, consultants, regulatory and statutory agencies. This position has no direct reports, exercises a direct professional service, has access to supervisory assistance, functions within the rules and regulations as prescribed by the company’s policies and procedures and is bounded by clear performance expectations. The position provides direction to the other members of the HR Team, including Graduate Trainees as required. The position holder is versed in human resource technology applications and is assigned a financial authority limit as per the Authority Limitations.

The position is responsible for the design, structure, maintenance and delivery of related programs and strategic initiatives, recommending improvements and upgrades to related programs, systems and procedures as required. The position also provides advice, guidance, and clarification to employees on related employee matters; is responsible for the development and administration of personnel policies and procedures and related employee relations matters.
