Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be required to contribute to the safe, reliable, effective, and efficient manufacture of high-quality pasta by driving the implementation and/or design of programs for Inventory Controls, Food Safety, Quality, Health, Safety and Environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leads the building of a safe and food safe environment throughout the plant by developing and auditing all QHES policies and procedures, developing and delivering training programs and investigating and enforcing corrective actions for all safety, food safety, sanitation, or fire hazards.
- Enforces Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all relevant Company policies and food safety regulations.
- Initiates actions to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformance issues relating to Product, Process, and the Quality Management Systems through the proper channels.
- Develops and standardizes programs, processes and procedures for inventory control and yield optimization.
- Ensures that the production and distribution of product runs efficiently and in accordance with plan by evaluating inventory needs and implementing strategies to meet those needs; liaising with supply chain to ensure all materials are available when required, monitoring and controlling raw material movement.
- Leads the collection, trending, and reporting of data to identify root cause and areas for opportunity, including but not limited to, key product attributes, shelf life, and productivity while maintaining quality.
Position Requirements:
- A MSc degree in Food Sciences.
- Certification in Health and Safety.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior quality management roles within a food manufacturing environment.
- CQE or CQM certification would be considered as asset.
- Certification in HACCP development and implementation, Lead Auditor Training in Food Safety, FSSC Implementation Training.
- Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards for OHES.
- Leadership of the development and implementation of a food safety and quality management system, which was successfully certified under a GFSI standard.
- In-depth knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office suite programs.
- Experience in inventory /warehouse management.

Job Responsibilities:
- Improves manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment.
- Leads the development, execution and sustaining of centre lining of all plant equipment.
- Performs troubleshooting and fault tracing analyses to determine equipment condition and to correct deviations from set parameters
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, callipers, micrometres, and other measuring instruments.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
- Uses automated remote process data monitoring and on-site field device monitoring, to control temperature, humidity, positive/vacuum pressures, device positions, amps, and other units to ensure proper functionality of the line(s).
- Ensures operation of machinery and electrical equipment and instruments by developing and executing PM schedules by following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications.
Position Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- OR A technician’s diploma MET
- Five (5) years’ experience in maintaining production equipment. Working with the routine practice of HSE controls for hazards associated with working with electricity, working with moving/mating parts, working at heights, and working in confined spaces.
- Two (2) years’ experience within a food manufacturing environment.
- Two (2) years’ experience with extrusion and heat exchange equipment.
- Welding and mechanical engineering design experience
- Experience of major equipment upgrades and installation/ commissioning of new equipment.
- Experience in developing preventative maintenance (PM) schedules.

Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be required to contribute the safe, reliable, effective, and efficient manufacture of high-quality pasta; the Production Controller supports the coordination and control of daily production activities with the objectives of ensuring food safety, product demand fulfilment, SKU Availability, waste minimization and inventory control.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supports new product development initiatives. This includes supporting production trials and the development of processing specifications, packaging specifications and operational guides.
- Supports the monitoring and validation of the team’s adherence to and effective execution of all pre-requisite program components for preservation of food safety, inclusive of but not limited to GMP’s, cleaning and sanitation, cross-contamination management, storage and handling, waste management, and equipment maintenance and calibration, all of which serve as the foundation for the plants Food Safety and Quality Management System.
- Assists in production activity control to meet business and financial objectives by; working with managers to plan and manage production tasks to improve runtime, reviewing production plans to identify and reporting potential risks to Manager and developing inventory control techniques to avoid shortages and excesses.
- Diligently monitors the activities related to product on hold with Quality and Warehouse personnel, consistently reviewing work in progress inventories, (stored in the warehouse or on the production floor) to seek the earliest opportunities to recover or convert the material.
- Executes daily production backflushes, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of production information related to raw and packaging material consumption and actual finished goods production.
- Develops and ensures timely and accurate execution of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting requirements including assuring the accuracy and completeness of all production data collection reports.
- Implements a base of performance metrics which are routinely tracked, reviewed, and analysed for identification of opportunities for improvement and recognition of excellence
Position Requirements:
- BSc. Degree in Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a production planning or production role.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
- Experience participating in lean/improvements techniques is considered an asset.
- Aptitude for root cause analysis and troubleshooting
- Experience with the routine practice of Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Expert knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office suite programs.

- Coordinates the issuing and return of materials, and the transfer of finished goods.
- Leads the execution of inventory cycle counts to ensure the accuracy of inventory data.
- Leads the execution of inventory variance analyses.
- Designs warehouse and storage layouts to ensure efficient space utilization while adhering to all warehousing handling legislation, and QHSE and security
- Monitors the workflow of the external warehouses
- Ensures the team’s disciplined adherence to all inventory controls to minimize stock variances.
- Supports the maintenance of continuous audit-readiness by performing work in keeping with all regulatory, certification, and customer requirements.
Position Requirements:
- An associate degree or certificate in business management, Logistics, or supply chain management
- Five (5) years’ experience in inventory management roles
- At least three (3) years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Experience in using lab equipment is an asset.
- Forklift certification is an asset
- Familiarity with inventory software and Microsoft suite.
