The Warehouse Attendant facilitates the Distribution Centre activities through safe, efficient handling of materials.
A.S. Bryden & Sons (Trinidad) Limited
We are seeking to recruit suitable candidates for the following position in our Distribution Centre:
WAREHOUSE ATTENDANT
Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Accurately and timely picking of goods as per customers’ orders, ensuring that all product(s) are in suitable condition and quality prior to delivery
- Surveying the picking area to determine the SKUs requiring replenishment, paying careful attention to the date being replenished to ensure true rotation
- Receiving and un-stuffing containerized cargo, offloading goods received via truck where appropriate
- Participating in the handling of goods being moved from Duty Free to Duty Paid Bond
- Preparing goods for transfer to other Group warehouses
- Moving of good product, whether by request or as a result of a broken case, to the Commissary as necessary
- Moving of product relocation within the Distribution Center as necessary
- Participating in stock counting exercises as required to ensure accuracy of inventory
- Completing daily checks of vital equipment functions to ensure safe operation and consistent performance
- Identifying any unsafe conditions and alerting your Supervisor
- Adhering to all safety guidelines and taking all necessary precautions to ensure safety when performing job functions
- Isolating Distribution Centre damages (housekeeping)
- Removing unwanted waste material including, but not limited to, shrink wrap and other packaging material
Knowledge & Experience:
- Three (3) CXC / Ordinary Level passes, including Math and English
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in a Warehouse environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and any other related software
