The Security Supervisor is required to provide direct support to the Security Manager in the coordination and management of various aspects of the Security Department.
Summary:
The Security Supervisor is required to provide direct support to the Security Manager in the coordination and management of various aspects of the Security Department.
The incumbent is expected to review existing security operational arrangements and to submit recommendations to improve the quality of security services provided to the Corporation.
Education, Knowledge and Experience
- Associate Degree or Diploma in Security Management or related field from an accredited academic institution
- Certificate in OSH
- Knowledge of laws and regulations relative to the security of persons and property
- Knowledge of Court Procedures
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Tools and software relevant to job functions
- Knowledge of the various physical and electronic security countermeasures and their applications
- Experience in conducting independent investigations and generating reports
- Minimum of five (5) years’ working experience performing in a supervisory security role in a recognized security establishment or in a large, diverse organization
OR
Equivalent combination of Qualification, Training and Experience
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists in the planning, organizing and directing of security programmes to ensure the delivery of high quality security services to the Corporation and its customers
- Represents the Security Manager in security related matters related to his/her specific area of operation as directed
- Represents the Corporation in security related Court matters as directed
- Assists in identifying the resources required to ensure an efficient and effective level of security services to the Corporation
- Assists in the design, supervision and review of the installation of anti-intrusion detection systems and equipment in the Corporation
- Assists in the planning and execution of emergency evacuation procedures for the Corporation
- Ensures that proper records are kept of all emergency evacuation procedures and implementation plans
- Manages the day to day security operations in assigned area(s)
- Ensures that high levels of discipline, appearance and on the job conduct are implemented and sustained amongst all Security Personnel within the assigned area
- Conducts routine inspections at all the Corporation’s locations and prepares reports with recommendations as required
- Undertakes investigations in a professional and impartial manner and generates reports as required
- Conducts performance evaluation(s) on security service providers and submits reports with recommendations as necessary
- Certifies work done by security service providers and verifies same for payment
- Assists in the development of standard operating policies, procedures and guidelines relative to the security of persons and property as necessary
- Assists in the training and orientation of new/existing employees relative to security matters
- Conducts research to keep abreast of security related best practices for consideration and implementation of modern security practices and procedures
- Ensures that the records management function of the Security Department is in alignment with the approved Corporation’s policies and procedures
Reports
- Prepares and/or presents technical/progress reports as required
- Performs any other duties related to the job function as may be assigned

Drafting Technician
SUMMARY
The Drafting Technician is required to apply technical knowledge to all stages of a project from initial design through to construction and must provide technical guidance and assistance to the Architect and Design team.
The incumbent must be able to produce complete sets of accurate construction documents with limited guidance on small to medium scale projects; organize and collate CAD data and materials.
Education, Knowledge and Experience
- Technician’s Certificate in General Drafting from an accredited academic institution
- Certificate in Autocad 2007 – 2010
- Certificate in 3D Rendering or equivalent software
- Working knowledge of project management techniques and tools
- Working knowledge of OSH Regulations
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written including presentation skills
- Working knowledge of construction methods and technical detailing
- Ability to apply standards to resolve technical/design issues
- Ability to develop and interpret design principles
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Working knowledge of building codes and systems, regulations and construction
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Tools, Revit, Autocad or any other software relevant to job functions
- Minimum of five (5) years’ working experience in all phases of small to large Architectural projects in a large, diverse organization

- Prepares elements of tenders and proposal documents as directed.

- Assists in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures in the Architectural Unit

- Develops and prepares architectural and /or engineering design drawings and models from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and /or any other primary data
- Operates computer assisted drafting equipment to generate drawings
- Attends meetings as necessary to ensure client’s requirements are met
- Provides technical advice and assistance as required
- Operates and manages computer assisted design (CAD) and drafting workstations
- Develops and prepares design sketches and 3d renders as required
- Compiles documentation packages and produces drawing sets as directed
- Checks and verifies design drawings to conform to specifications and design data
- Assist with the preparation of technical reports as required
- Prepares documents for contracts and tender documents as directed

Provides direct support to the Corporate Secretary in the efficient and effective management of corporate records of the Corporation and its subsidiaries and in providing advice and guidance on governance and compliance issues facing the Corporation from time to time
Summary:
The Corporate Governance Officer’s role is to provide direct support to the Corporate Secretary in the efficient and effective management of corporate records of the Corporation and its subsidiaries and in providing advice and guidance on governance and compliance issues facing the Corporation from time to time.
The incumbent will support the Corporate Secretary’s role to the Board of Directors of UDeCOTT, Subsidiary Companies as well as sub-committees of the Board as assigned by the Corporate Secretary. He/she will perform specific tasks as delegated by the Corporate Secretary.
Education, Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B) from an accredited academic institution and Legal Education Certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Management from an accredited academic institution
- Certification in Corporate Governance training from an accredited academic institution will be an asset
OR
- Chartered Secretaries Qualification and be a registered member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries
- Working knowledge of the Companies’ Act and other relevant legislation
- Working knowledge of construction law, including the application of standard forms of contract including the FIDIC form of contract
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Tools and software relevant to job functions.
- A minimum of five (5) years working experience in a Corporate Governance environment of a large, diverse organization with at least two (2) years at a supervisory level
OR
Combination of Equivalent Qualification and Training and Experience
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
UDECOTT BOARD, SUB-COMMITTEES AND SUBSIDIARIES
- Assists the Corporate Secretary in ensuring compliance of the Board of UDeCOTT and its Subsidiaries with the requirements of relevant laws, statutes, rules and policies (e.g. Companies Act, State Enterprises Performance and Monitoring Manual,).
- Provides advice and guidance to the Board and/or Management on corporate governance issues in accordance with the principles of good governance
- Receives, records and responds to requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act as directed by the Corporate Secretary.
- Reviews Notes to the Board, its Sub-Committees and Subsidiaries to ensure compliance with Company by laws, internal policies and processes and best practices prior to submission where applicable
- Assists in managing official records and minutes of the Board, sub-committee meetings and Subsidiaries
- Follows-up with Senior Management on decisions arising from the meetings of the Board of UDeCOTT, its Sub-Committees and its Subsidiaries as directed
- Takes accurate minutes at Board, sub-committees or subsidiary companies meetings as scheduled or as directed by the Corporate Secretary.
- Ensures execution and adequate reporting of action items as recorded, when necessary
- Assists in developing and monitoring compliance with the charters for each Sub-Committee of the Board
- Collates information and/or documents reports, ensuring decisions are communicated to the relevant stakeholders when necessary
- Assists the Administrator in compiling packages for Board Meetings etc. and ensuring delivery within the pre-determined timeframes.
- Assists the Administrator in the planning and executing of meetings as necessary
- Assists the Administrator in the planning and executing of special events/projects as assigned by the Corporate Secretary
Performs any other duties related to the job function as may be required
