What you will do:- Partner with the broader Brand and Culture Communications team, Retail Marketing teams and overall Nutrien Ag Solutions Retail business units in the U.S. and Canada to develop and amplify integrated proactive communications campaigns to advocate for our grower customers and the important work we do to support them
- Help identify opportunities to tell the stories of our relationship with rural communities and growers to support our purpose of growing our world from the ground up to meet the world’s food security needs
- Support strategic communications around our sustainability journey, digital evolution and overall approach to innovation with an integrated multimedia approach
- Participate in the planning and execution of comprehensive, multichannel communications campaigns that connect and integrate what’s happening in local markets with the broader global operations to bring the Nutrien story to life
- Help activate Nutrien’s strategic partnerships with industry organizations and grow awareness of our collective thought leadership and the impact we make together
- Leverage your strong proactive and reactive communications skills to navigate dynamic media markets and generate interest in our campaigns, capabilities, events and investments
- Provide issues management and crisis communications support for issues impacting our business
- Support internal communications tactics including memos, intranet stories, town hall meetings and more
- Draft and refine executive speeches, presentations and talking points for a variety of engagements both internal and external
- Work effectively and collaboratively with senior stakeholders and colleagues across business units
- Lead a small but mighty team of communicators supporting internal and external Retail communications in North America
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or other related field
- Extensive media relations experience and a consistent track record of placing positive earned media
- 9+ years of experience in corporate communications supporting executive thought leadership positioning, external & internal communications, media relations, social and digital communications
- Ability to develop and execute end-to-end communications strategies plans across the U.S. and Canadian retail business that will resonate with our key internal and external audiences
- Experience working in a corporation or agency, providing strategic communications expertise and counsel with measurable outcomes to CEO and executives
- Robust knowledge of external media channels, platforms and strong media contacts across North America, with key focus on US and Canadian outlets and proven planning and implementation capabilities
- Excellent project management and insight-driven decision-making skills
- Experience working in or partnering with a global publicly traded company or in the agricultural industry a plus
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $113,200 – $155,650. This range is estimated for the Retail Communications Lead (North America) position in Colorado. Actual salary and benefits may be different based upon location.
We provide an attractive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, and life insurance and well as disability coverage for positions working more than 30 hours per week. In addition, we have a retirement program that encourages our employees to save for the longer term, with generous matching employer contributions. In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our plan(s), which provide discretionary award opportunities reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee. Reports to Coordinator, Environmental
This position is located in Point Lisas, Trinidad and is not available for remote work.
What You Will Do
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office- (Advanced Excel a plus)
- Website Development (Sharepoint Experience)
- Social Media Communications / Marketing
- Excellent desktop and in-person research , presentation and reporting skills
- Knowledge of emergent technological practices
- Development of Carbon Reduction Plans
