PROCESS ENGINEER
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and execute production reports.
- Monitor water quality and water systems.
- Confirm flows through DP measurements (manometer checks).
- Update information spreadsheets for further analysis.
- Ability to use plant modeling tools to analyze data.
- Perform water and solid tests.
- Develop and implement process automation.
- Develop procedures and protocols for process operations.
- Train operations and maintenance personnel on process efficiency.
- Liase with Suppliers and Customers
- Ability to continuously enhance and improve process efficiencies
- Knowlegde of Shutdown planning and processes.
Additional responsibilities include participation in projects that improve efficiency, safety and/or operating costs and interacting with management to meet the needs of the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- BSc Engineering – Process or Chemical
- Good analytical skills for problem solving and data presentation
- Five (5) years’ experience in a DRI facility / working with reformers
- Competent in Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Nu-Iron Unlimited, a DRI facility in the Point Lisas Industrial Estate is seeking suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Process Technician. This is a shift position and it reports to the Shift Supervisor.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitoring plant operation including production and product quality
- Anticipating and solving problems in a timely manner
- Identifying opportunities for improvement
- Participation in projects that improve efficiency, safety and/or operating costs
- Maintaining compliance with environmental and safety requirements
- House Keeping – Participating in programs required to ensure plant cleanliness
- Assisting maintenance technicians in diagnosing problems and performing repairs
Additional responsibilities include participation in projects that improve efficiency, safety and/or operating costs and interacting with management to meet the information needs of the organization.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Process Plant Operations Diploma or Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technician Diploma or Mechanical Engineering Technician Diploma and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a process environment or DRI facility
- An equivalent combination of training & experience may also be considered
- Competent in Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
