The Systems Administrator will design and implement solutions for the maintenance of systems’ efficiency. The incumbent will also troubleshoot and resolve systems related problems, and be responsible for the configuration of software and the addition of new services.
The Job:
- Designs and maintains systems and network operating software.
- Design, deploy, and manage disaster recovery plans, capacity plans.
- Performs capacity planning functions.
- Recommends and install hardware/software upgrades, storage management functions
- Assists with technology facilities (hardware, software) management.
- Coordinates systems and applications program planning, development, and implementation.
- Provides systems application, and network administration.
- Participates in the design, coordination, installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and inventory of enterprise servers and services including Windows 2003/2008/Windows 7/XP, Unix-based systems (e.g. backups, auditing, file/print sharing, etc.).
- Be able to plan and execute the migration to the Windows 7 on all desktops and laptop computers.
- Identifies and implements systems standards.
- Provides support for student and staff email services.
- Ensures the timely preparation of reports associated with the job function.
Requirements: The successful candidate must have:
- A bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a computer related field (post-graduate IT qualification will be an asset)
- At least five (5) years’ experience as a Systems Administrator
- MCSA or MCSA certification
- Linux+ and Windows certification
Knowledge of virtualization technologies will be an asset.

The Director, Technology Services will provide strategic and operational IT direction to support the academic and administrative services of COSTAATT.
The Director will oversee the Technology Services Department’s operations, to ensure alignment with the objectives of the College. Additionally, the Director, Technology Services will participate as an integral member of the College’s management team, by leading efforts in identifying and completing strategic technology-related initiatives. This individual will establish budget and performance controls and manage the department’s achievement of all set objectives. The Director will also be responsible for making recommendations regarding information technology policies and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities Managerial - Reviews and approves plans for the department, including strategic plans
- Prepares and manages departmental budget
- Supervises staff in the department to ensure that the goals of the department are accomplished.
- Provide leadership and direction to staff.
- Prepares and submits reports to senior management as required.
- Determines feasibility of plans and project
- Counsels and advises staff on work related issues.
Technical - Development of an integrated system for the functioning of the organization.
- Maintenance of a formal feedback system to ensure user satisfaction and take action where necessary.
- Plans, develops, implements and maintains the information system through the acquisition of appropriate levels of hardware, software and data communication infrastructure.
- Reviews, evaluates and recommends upgrades to both hardware and software.
- Prepares RFPs and reviews tenders submitted by equipment and service providers.
- Establishes the security system procedure including defining access and monitoring breached of security.
- Provides system wide training and support to ensure effective utilization of the technology.
- Consults and coordinates with departmental heads to determine user requirements

The Chief Internal Auditor will establish audit plans for the College and oversee independent reviews and evaluations of the College’s financial, operational and information technology controls.
The holder of this position will be required to perform risk-based, compliance, financial and operational audits throughout the College, employing a solution and service oriented approach. Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform risk-based, compliance, financial and operational audits at the College, employing a solution and service oriented approach
- Identify opportunities for enhancing compliance and participate in improving internal controls and process efficiency
- Be responsible for the evaluation of IT systems and business risk, and the development of audit tests to identify such risk
- Report audit findings and make recommendations for improvements to IT policies and procedures and the mitigation of risk, weaknesses and issues of non-compliance
- Oversee the preparation, execution and submission of an annual audit plan prepared on the basis of established risk assessment methodologies
- Direct and guide audit professionals and support staff in the conduct of a comprehensive program of financial, operational, compliance and IT audits
- Interpret policies and procedures and apply professional accounting/auditing principles and standards to test and evaluate controls and operational systems

The Marketing and Public Relations Officer – Communications plays a major role in how internal and external stakeholders view the College and works with people across the organization to promote and enhance the College’s image and visibility.
The Marketing and Public Relations Officer – Communications will coordinate activities related to the development, production and distribution of print materials such as newsletters, media releases, speeches, advertisements and promotional literature. The ability to communicate at all levels and to build and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders and to work well under pressure is essential.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:- Obtain, analyze and prepare promotional and informational items concerning College activities, for publication and circulation in the form of news and feature articles.
- Work closely with internal and external graphic artists to assign and monitor design and layout tasks.
- Consult with the College’s faculty and staff to obtain information on teaching, research and other activities for publication.
- Represent the College to local, regional and international media, providing information on activities and programmes.
- Liaise with printers to ensure adherence to production schedules and deadlines
- Co-ordinate the studio recording of radio advertising
- Assists in organizing of events as required
- Perform other related duties as may be required
- Assists in the preparation of management, technical and business reports including research, proof-reading and compilation of information.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication/Marketing or related field.
- Three (3) – five (5) years experience in a similar position or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Must have the ability to communicate at all levels and to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
