Production Supervisor
Job Summary:
The incumbent is responsible for making finished goods available to the Sales and Marketing Department at the scheduled dates at minimum cost and maximum production.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the Management and Operations of the plant for optimal performance in accordance with quality standards.
- Assist manufacturing staff to achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results
- Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
- Ensuring efficiency in allocation of labour, resources and asset utilisation.
- Manage production schedules and submit production reports daily with monthly reviews
- Check production output according to specifications to ensure meet daily/weekly/monthly objectives
- Monitoring operational processes for the various plants and take appropriate corrective action in respect of any and all problems which may occur from time to time
Human Resource Management
- Planning, scheduling and supervising the labour requirements
- Monitor the attendance of the labour force to ensure efficient and effective production.
- Assist in the effective training of line personnel in order to maximise production output.
- Conduct performance appraisals
Perform other related duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences (Chemistry /Physics) or a Degree in Engineering
- Certificate in Supervisory Management will be an asset
- Must at least have 3 – 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
