This position reports directly to the Chairman and is responsible for managing the Finance Department inclusive of MT Guyana.
Responsibilities:- Liaise with key stakeholders as required â banks, government agencies, insurance providers etc.
- Preparation and/or review of monthly and annual financial and other reports as required.
- Presentation of financial reports to the board of directors, stakeholders, executives etc.
- Reporting to management and stakeholders, and providing advice on how future business decisions might impact the Company
- Track the companyâs financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
- Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the Company
- Undertaking strategic analysis and assisting with strategic planning
- Preparation of annual budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Carrying out business modelling and risk assessments
- Review and approve Directorâs requisitions
- Coordinate Purchasing and Quality Assurance team
- Contracting of external services e.g., banking, investments, and other financial services as necessary
- Liaise with senior managers on the Companyâs financial objectives and guidance on achieving same
- Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
- Assist with the establishment and maintenance of financial policies and procedures for the company
- Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation
Requirements:- ACCA qualified
- A minimum of five (5) yearsâ working experience in a Senior Finance role
- Ability to effectively manage time, organize, plan and meet deadlines
- Experience of producing Management Accounts and Financial Statements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Accounting Software and Payroll Software
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
