SENIOR PORTFOLIO SPECIALIST
Applications are invited from persons with suitable qualifications to fill the position of “Senior Portfolio Specialist” at Republic Wealth Management Limited.
The jobholder is responsible for:
- Promoting and achieving sales of the Division’s proprietary funds, retirement products, brokerage services, and small to medium sized customized portfolios.
- Managing, developing and motivating a team of Financial Advisors, Portfolio Specialists, a Clerical Assistant and an analyst mandated to market the Division’s mutual funds, retirement products, and brokerage solutions, as well as providing the relevant support of these products to their branches.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Developing bespoke investment solutions for high net worth and ultra-net worth individuals and corporate clients in line with client risk tolerance and return objectives. These portfolios shall cover the investment universe including bonds, equities, ETFs, derivative instruments, and commodities.
- Developing strategies and methods to increase sales and drive performance, as well as, tracking and reporting on department metrics. Reviewing and making recommendations for any changes to product and service offering in line with evolving market trends and client preferences.
- Analyzing the local and foreign economic market, inclusive of interest rates, credit spreads, equity markets, commodity prices and sharing this information with staff as well as prospective customers to make informed financial/investment decisions.
- Developing training plans, mentoring and evaluating the performance of Financial Advisors and Portfolio Specialists. Educating and increasing the awareness of the RWML’s products and services throughout the branch network.
- Liaising with GMC to devise, schedule and track the effectiveness of market campaigns.
- Providing support for the Wealth Manager, ensuring that all high-net-worth clients are provided real-time investment advice and best in class service.
GENERAL QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS: The jobholder should have:
- Six (6) years in Sales/Management/Marketing in a Wealth Management environment of which at least two (2) should be supervisory experience.
- Two (2) years in Accounting/Finance.
- Degree in the field of Finance, Economics, Management or Accounting.
- Certificate in Financial Advisors.
- Certificate in Selling skills.
- Basic understanding of Investments and Financial Management.
- Computer literate with emphasis on Microsoft Office Suite.
BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- Excellent Interpersonal and Leadership skills.
- Strong Analytical, Time Management, Decision-making, Presentation and Selling skills.
- Effective Oral and Written Communication.

PORTFOLIO SPECIALIST
Applications are invited from persons with suitable qualifications to fill the position of “Portfolio Specialist” at Republic Wealth Management Limited.
The jobholder is responsible for managing RWML’s High Net Worth clients through the development of sound client relationships, delivery of superior, knowledgeable, quality financial services; utilizing tools and techniques to capture new business and developing existing business to optimize profits and business growth.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Actively soliciting new HNW business within from internal and external sources. Providing financial planning, developing statements of investment policy, and constructing portfolios based on risk tolerance and return requirement of clients.
- Managing the relationships of existing high net worth clients with continuous upselling of RWML’s products and services.
- Reviewing customers’ portfolios and recommending amendments as appropriate based on changes to client circumstances and to evolving microeconomic and macroeconomic market conditions.
- Educating staff in the branches and corporate centres of the suite of products and services offered by RWML.
- Liaising with key market players (investment bankers, brokers, asset managers) to secure assets on behalf of clients.
- Analyzing the local and foreign economic market and sharing information to staff as well as prospective customers to make informed financial/investment decisions.
GENERAL QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:
The jobholder should have:
- At least five (5) years’ experience at a financial institution with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a sales environment: Retail/Commercial Banking, Investment/Portfolio Management or stock brokerage.
- Diploma in Finance, business, Economics, Accounting or equivalent.
- Certificate in Financial Advisors.
- Certificate in Selling skills.
- Basic understanding of Investments and Financial Management.
- Computer literate with emphasis on Microsoft Office Suite.
BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- Strong Analytical, Time Management, Decision-making, Presentation and Selling skills.
- Effective Oral and Written Communication.
