- Manages relationship with Sub-contracted companies to ensure compliance between subcontracted services and Client best practices.
- Perform Audit surveillance as work progresses, avoid last minute discoveries, address repetitive non-compliance and monitor implementation of corrective actions in response to the identification of non-conforming products/services through QA/QC Audits or otherwise, until the unsatisfactory condition has been rectified.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercial Optimization
- Leverages industry colleagues, external relationships and market intelligence to expand customer base and maximize value.
- Conducts comprehensive analysis of commercial proposals related to the opportunity for purchase and sale of crude and gas.
- Identifies commercial opportunities in consultation with Business Development geared towards optimization of value for Heritage.
- Identifies key market, competitor or industry developments, trends and emerging issues and provides recommendations based on market intelligence.
- Evaluates current commercial arrangements with a view of preventing value leakage.
- Recommends and develops commercial structures to minimize risks and increase value, e.g. transfer pricing, hedging, crude oil portfolio.
- Maintains good customer and supplier relations through networking and communication.
- Examines and interprets key performance business indicators and identifies critical issues/variances.
Commercial Contract Development & Management
- Reviews new commercial contracts and arrangements in consultation with Business Development related to the purchase or sale of crude and gas to mitigate risks and maximize value.
- Participates in the negotiation and execution of new commercial contracts or agreements, and re-negotiation of pricing or other terms related to the purchase or sale of crude and gas.
- Monitors compliance with terms and conditions of crude purchase and sales contracts, and LNG sales contracts.
- Conducts due diligence and liaises with buyers/sellers as required; provides support and guidance to Audit and Legal in resolving any issues.
- Advises on incorporating trade economics and complex physical delivery clauses
- Administers all contract work from initiation through to completion.
- Maintains and updates contract templates and system for storing and retrieval of documents.
Commercial Operations
- Monitors inventory against upcoming sales or planned cargoes and liaises with relevant internal and external parties to make adjustments to plan as necessary.
- Reviews and advises on past and current performance of purchase and sales contracts.
- Operationalizes the sales contracts, including facilitating the clearance of vessels; transmittal of documentary instructions; forwarding of cargo documents; receipt, checking and dissemination of letters of credit; monitoring of vessels’ ETA; discussing requests for contractual changes, demurrage and cargo claim handling.
- Communicates with suppliers/customers and responds to their concerns in a timely manner.
- Liaises with the relevant departments for the exchange of information pertaining to purchase and sales.
- Assures or verifies correctness of invoices and monitors payments.
- Coordinates and prepares all departmental reports and documents for Management, Board and Governmental Agencies.
- Co-ordinates all short, medium, and long-term price forecasting as input to planning and budgeting activities.

- Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Management
- Eight (8) years relevant working experience in the oil and gas industry.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develops and manages the delivery of optimized engineering contracts and procurement strategies to best support the operations business needs.
- Performs the role of custodian of updated key engineering data including Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Maintenance Procedures, Bill of Materials, Drawings, Technical Specifications, and Area Classification Drawings.
- Provides technical advice and guidance on Asset optimisation, troubleshooting and engineering design.
- Provides resourcing to projects on a needs basis.
- Oversees team in providing hardware and software troubleshooting of Instruments/Control Systems.
- Identifies assets and equipment requirements and determines optimum sources of power supply in order to provide timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Installs, tests and commissions equipment and systems and provides the required technical support.
- Conducts research and prepares studies and technical reports on latest engineering technology developments, codes, standards and best practices.
- Provides technical advice and guides subordinates and clients in the evaluation and selection of equipment and materials.
- Ensures compliance with Asset Management Systems and Procedures.
- Implements HSE standards and ensures adherence to same.
- Develops strategic goals, objectives and key performance indicators for Operations and utilizes Performance Management System to measure, manage, and motivate performance.
- Develops and implements staffing strategy and effectively leads a team of professionals by developing talent and cultivating a high-performance culture.
- Directs the development of departmental budgets and monitors and controls utilization.
- Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfill the job purpose
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE- BSc. in Engineering (related discipline) AND
- Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in an oil and gas environment, five (5) of which must be at a supervisory level.
PREFERRED (would be an asset):
- EPC and PMC contract negotiation and administration Certification.
- Project Management Certification

Analyzes and recommends all surface and subsurface well optimization activities; investigate, develop, and implement new strategies. Provides technical support to ensure economic workovers with optimized production gains and increased well uptime.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Mentors Well Analysts on well programming, pump selection/pump design, troubleshooting low/off wells and production optimization.
- Reviews and approves all well servicing programs and well optimization recommendations issued by the Well Analysts.
- Improves workover success by instituting design changes to downhole and surface configuration, new techniques and equipment selection. Recommends material requirements for sucker rod pump components to improve uptime between workovers.
- Implements operational priority plans for Well Servicing and Well Optimization to achieve Production targets.
- Recommends selection or required change in artificial lift or production method.
- Coordinates well reactivation process.
- Ensures personnel are equipped with resources to perform optimization activities.
- Ensures HSSE compliance.
- Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfill the job purpose.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE- BSc. in Petroleum/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or related discipline. AND
- Ten (10) years’ experience in Petroleum Production Operations, five (5) of which must be at a Well Analyst (High Level).
OR
- Technician Diploma in Petroleum/Mechanical Engineering. AND
- Fifteen (15) years’ experience in Petroleum Production Operation, workover activities and Artificial Lift Operations, five (5) of which must be at a Well Analyst (High level).
