      JOB SUMMARY

      The incumbent for this role will be accountable and responsible for equipping staff with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out work-related tasks. He/She will ensure the consistent implementation of HR policies and support the implementation of Talent & Performance Development projects and initiatives through the conduct of research, analysis, planning, and training/coaching as required


      KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Conducts training needs analysis studies and conferring with direct Supervisors to determine training needs of employees in light of the Group’s business strategies and operational requirements
      • Monitors the progress of human resources development plans and recommends options for the enhancement and improvement of employee competency, and closure of performance gaps
      • Delivers a suite of internal training programmes
      • Ensures that statutory and regulatory training requirements are identified and implemented each cycle of certification
      • Designs and amends training programme content as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment
      • Monitors and ensures the accuracy, comprehensiveness, practicality and consistency of all conducted training courses as per the developed plans and programs
      • Develops and administers written and practical exams to evaluate student performance with assistance from relevant subject matter experts
      • Measures the effectiveness of the performance of the internal / external instructors; as well as the outsourced training organizations and produces related statistical reports
      • Delivers train-the-trainer initiatives to strengthen internal instructor bench strength
      • Prepares and coordinates training logistics at all training venues, including the use of IT peripherals
      • Undertakes research on best practices in HR management, including exploring practices in our competitors and other organizations within the financial services industry
      • Has good working knowledge of e-learning techniques and where relevant, being involved in the delivery of e-learning packages
      • Provides advice on application and where necessary interpretation of HR policies and procedures, taking into account past practice and precedents
      • Provides responses to all employees on issues relating to training
      • Engages in marketing of the Group’s products and services
      • Responds to vendors and internal customers’ requests, enquiries, incoming and outgoing calls, both local and foreign, in a courteous and timely manner consistent with operating standards and escalation to the Supervisor/Manager where necessary

      QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

      • An Associate Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field from an accredited tertiary level Institution
      • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Human Resources inclusive of experience particularly in a training capacity
      • Strong presentation delivery skills, analytical, technical and planning and organizing skills
      • Knowledge of organizational psychology and pedagogy, performance management, training needs assessment methodologies, approaches and technology

      Job Summary

      The incumbent will be responsible for analyzing, designing, testing and implementing moderately complex computer programs and maintaining the Bank’s core application systems. He/She will also be responsible for developing and performing testing with stakeholders to ensure requirements and objectives are achieved.

      Key Duties and Responsibilities

      • Investigates, analyzes and defines requirements utilizing his/her general understanding of the Group’s application systems
      • Constructs, amends, tests and documents program modules from user specifications to achieve a well-engineered product
      • Troubleshoots and fixes daily production issues that affect the Group’s applications
      • Provides on call support for critical productions issues as assigned following the pre-requiste training and experience gained on the job as arranged by Management
      • Tests and applies compliance/fixes supplied by vendors of the Group’s applications to resolve outstanding issues whilst ensuring that data integrity is maintained at all times
      • Develops and maintains reports, routines and database scripts to meet user requirements
      • Reviews all work and creates documentation prior to implementation to verify consistency and conformance with established Information and Communications Technology (ICT) guidelines
      • Constructs, interprets and executes test plans in a thorough and reliable manner
      • Presents technical problems, processes and solutions verbally and in written formats in an accurate and timely manner

      • Maintains working knowledge of required standards, methods and tools for analysis and program development and documentation

      Qualifications and Experience

      • Candidates must possess a Bacehlor’s Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science/Software Engineering from an accredited institution with one (1) year’s relevant experience such as in Applications Developmentc OR an Associate Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science/ Software Engineering from an accredited instituion with three (3) years relevant experience such as in Applications Development
      • Certification and knowledge of PROFILE (Integrated Banking System (IBS)), u/Switchware, T24, Unix, Linux, Java, Microsoft SQL Server/ Informix SQL, Reactive Web Design will be considered an asset
      • Strong proficiency in API Development and Web Services
      • Broad understanding of information systems concepts and practices
      • Proficiency in the development of computer databases, local applications/systems, web applications
      • Ability to use initiative and work independently
      • Completion of a supervisory skills workshop
      • Analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated capabilities in project management
      • Ability to read, analyze and use complex documents and forms

      JOB SUMMARY

      The incumbent will be responsible for the administration of the various retirement benefit plans under trusteeship inclusive of share ownership plans, savings plans and pension plans. He/She will also be responsible for providing strong support to Management for the day-to-day activities associated with the trusteeship and administration of retirement benefit plans and executing strategies for the delivery of service excellence.


      KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Ensures adherence to all statutory, regulatory and plan-specific legal requirements in the day-to-day administration and payment of benefits within operational timeframes
      • Verifies and dispatches data files and other reports requested by Actuaries, Management Committees, Auditors, Attorney’s, Board of Inland Revenue and Central Bank ensuring prompt action for plans under administration
      • Liaises with stakeholders, agents and service providers as required to ensure settlement of fees and expenses
      • Provides oversight to the processing of benefit payments, inclusive of pension payroll and associated statutory deductions, to ensure accuracy and timeliness of disbursement
      • Collaborates with internal and external contacts in assessing or implementing proposed changes to the legal documents or operation of the plans under trusteeship
      • Ensures approval and registration of Trust Deed and Rules and related legal documents by the regulatory bodies in accordance with operational standards
      • Verifies input of contributions, benefits and share allocation information on system/database to ensure accuracy/completeness and compliance with the requirements of the system and the plan
      • Provides strong support to Management to ensure that all statutory reporting requirements are completed within stipulated deadlines
      • Completes compliance and departmental reports for submission to Management within operational timeframes
      • Liaises with stakeholders to ensure Supervisory Fees, Regulatory Charges and Pay As You Earn (PAYE) payments are completed within stipulated deadlines
      • Oversees the year-end balancing and TD4 preparation and dispatch on an annual basis within statutory deadlines
      • Oversees the Proof of Life process to completion for all plans ensuring all stages are completed timely
      • Reviews and proposes improvements to the existing policies and procedures, internal controls, customer service initiatives, administrative tools and systems in keeping with best practice
      • Ensures the accuracy of annual statements, dispatching accordingly within stipulated timelines and with the associated correspondence
      • Performs the role of custodian of trust instruments
      • Provides strong support to Management in:
      • Ensuring that the unit benefits from sound commercial awareness and risk management for this line of business
      • The execution of new strategic and policy initiatives and projects to ensure smooth transition and implementation
      • The development of presentations and proposals for existing and new business initiatives
      • Responds to customers’ requests, enquiries, incoming and outgoing calls, both local and foreign, in a courteous and timely manner consistent with operating standards and escalates to Management where necessary
      • Engages in marketing of the Group’s products and services
      • Completes special projects and other delegated activities as assigned by Management

      QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

      • Candidates must possess an Associates Degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, Mathematics, Business Management Studies or any other related field from an accredited university
      • Candidates must also possess a minimum of five (5) years’ progressive experience in Retirement Benefit Administration with at least two (2) years supervisory experience
      • Ability to exercise a high degree of confidentiality and sound judgment
      • Strong conflict resolution, team building, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
      • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
      • Analytical, conceptual, time management and problem solving skills
      • Ability to use initiative and work independently
      • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and use complex documents and forms
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite in particular Excel
      • Knowledge of current legislation and statutory requirements for retirement benefit plans
      • Working knowledge of principles and procedures of trusteeship and administration
