Construction Engineering:

Construction Site Supervision:

• Develop and optimize construction activities work breakdown structure (WBS) for assigned project(s) based on the relevant Project Management Methodology (PMM) Stage Gate requirements.
• Develop and optimize construction project scope and documentation with input from all internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and optimize construction activities input into the integrated project execution plan for assigned project(s) including looking for opportunities within the portfolio of projects, and in line with oil and gas and petrochemical industry codes and standards.
• Develop and optimize construction activities manhours, resource allocation and cost estimate for assigned project(s).
• Develop and optimize integrated construction schedule based on agreed WBS for assigned project(s) in line with Scheduling guidelines and internal and/or external benchmarks.

Construction Site Inspection:

• Implement Health Safety Security and Environment (HSSE) plan requirements during the construction phases of the assigned project(s)
• Identify construction site risks or issues and mitigations and flag to Construction Supervisor and/or Construction Manager or Project Manager and ensure worked through to closure.
• Identify interface management risk or issues and mitigations and flag to Construction Supervisor and/or Construction Manager or Project Manager and ensure worked through to closure.
• Provide daily reports of site activities to Construction Supervisor and/or Construction Manager or Project Manager.
• Ensure all relevant site documentation are accurately prepared, reviewed and signed off and stored in Document Management System for archiving and retrieval.

Skills / Qualifications

• First Degree in Engineering (BSc, BEng).
• Membership of a professional body preferred.
• Typically a minimum of 5-10 years’ relevant experience.
• National citizen or permanent resident of Trinidad & Tobago

Overview / Responsibilities

Massy Wood Ltd. is currently seeking expressions of interest for several Civil Engineering roles (listed below) for a potential project to be based in Trinidad.

Civil Engineering:

• Development of all Civil Engineering Designs associated with oil and gas and/or petrochemical facilities. Civil Engineering Design will include, but not be limited to:

a. Blast studies for buildings, structures and other related facilities;

b. Pipeline Route Selection;

c. Pipeline, piping and equipment foundations and supports;

d. Geotechnical Investigations;

e. Geophysical Investigations;

f. Site Reconnaissance for new construction;

g. Benching and shoring designs especially for excavations;

h. Horizontal directional drilling foundation designs;

i. Landslip and soil remediation;

j. Building and Civil Engineering Designs;

k. Drainage Designs; and

l. Slope Analysis for Landslip Remediation.

Civil Structural Engineering:

• Development of all Structural Engineering Designs associated with pipelines, equipment and facilities. This will include, but not be limited to:

a. Structural Design of Buildings

b. Design of foundations for Mechanical Equipment, Tank, Vessel, Building and other Foundations necessary to fulfil the design intent

c. Offshore Platform Designs

d. Bridges

e. Structural Evaluations and assessments

• Develop structural software models and cases using relevant software e.g. STAAD to support engineering assessments, decisions and designs.

Civil Engineering Geotechnical:

• Develop all Geotechnical Engineering Designs. This will include, but not be limited to:

a. Soil Conditions;

b. Foundation designs;

c. Impact of seismic criteria,

d. Specialist studies.

 Civil Engineering Marine and Port:

•  Develop all civil engineering marine and port related designs for oil and gas and/or petrochemical facilities as per applicable codes and standards. This will include, but not be limited to:

a. Ports and jetty;

b. Berthing facilities for marine vessels;

c. Marine Port operations;

d. Dredging, reclamation and spoil disposal;

e. Coastal works (breakwaters etc.)

f. Specialist studies.

Skills / Qualifications

• First Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (BSc, BEng).

Overview / Responsibilities

Massy Wood Ltd. is currently seeking expressions of interest for several Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Engineering roles (listed below) for a potential project to be based in Trinidad.

Electrical Engineering:

• Develop all Electrical Engineering Designs associated with oil and gas and/or petrochemical facilities. This will include, but not be limited to:
• a. Grounding and Lightning Protection Plans
• b. Lighting Plans
• c. Area Classification
• d. Load Flow / Electrical Transient & Analysis Program (ETAP)
• e. CCTV design
• f. Telecommunication design
• g. Study / Proposal (Load analysis, relay coordination, short circuit analysis)
• Identify power requirements to determine optimum supply sources required for facilities. This includes the use of public power and/or generation systems.
• Prepare, supervise or review (as requested) of all required design engineering, construction and commissioning documents as relates to electrical safety and performance.

Electrical Engineering Power Systems:

• Develop all Electrical Engineering Power Systems Designs associated with oil and gas and/or petrochemical facilities.
• Prepare, supervise or review (as requested) of all required design engineering, construction and commissioning documents as relates to electrical power system safety and performance.
• Supervise the specification and selection of electrical power systems and materials in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes and standards.
• Assure in design phase the safe operation of power systems equipment in line with the applicable codes and standards.

Instrumentation & Controls Engineering:

• Develop all Instrumentation and Control Systems Designs associated with oil and gas and/or petrochemical facilities. Instrument and Control Systems will include, but not be limited to:
• a. Fire and Gas Systems
• b. Telecommunication System
• c. Process Control System (PCS) Design
• d. Process Safety System (PSS) Design
• e. Security System Design (lighting, fencing, CCTV)
• Supervise the specification and selection of instrumentation and control systems and materials in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes and standards.
• Assure in design phase the safe operation of instrumentation and control systems equipment in line with the applicable codes and standards.

Automation Engineering:

• Develop all Automation Systems Designs associated with oil and gas and/or petrochemical facilities.
• Supervise the specification and selection of automation system materials in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes and standards.
• Assure in design phase the safe operation of automation systems equipment in line with the applicable codes and standards.
• Develop and implement schedules for safe and cost-effective testing and commissioning and operation of automation systems.

Skills / Qualifications

• First Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation & Controls / Automation Engineering (BSc, BEng).
• Membership of a professional body preferred.
• Typically a minimum of 5-8 years’ relevant experience.
• National citizen or permanent resident of Trinidad & Tobago
