Overview
Superior Hotels Trinidad and Tobago Limited, the parent company of The BRIX Autograph Collection by Marriott, opening in Q4 2021 is seeking to recruit suitably qualified candidates to join our dynamic team in the position of Purchasing Manager
Responsibilities
The Purchasing Officer is responsible for handling the purchasing function for the hotel. The successful candidate will be required to work with local vendors to ensure that purchases are processed, and that the hotel’s policies and guidelines are adhered to. He/she is also responsible for sourcing competitive prices for high-quality products that will contribute to the overall profitability of the hotel. The ideal candidate should be an excellent communicator with a pleasant disposition, organized, demonstrate great attention to detail, ability to negotiate and can multi-task in a demanding environment.
Qualifications
- BSc Business Administration
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management will be an asset.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a purchasing or procurement position
- Prior experience in purchasing in a local hotel or large food and beverage operation.
- Experience with Birch Street or a similar e-procurement software will be deemed an asset.
