Process Safety Engineer

To provide day-to-day delivery of process safety engineering support for site operations related queries/activities/risks to deliver safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
To provide specialized technical support and expertise in process safety management and asset integrity management to all Business Units to ensure that assets are properly designed and installed in accordance with specifications and remains fit for use over the whole lifecycle of the asset.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides process safety engineering support to operations, working closely with the Engineer and Operations Personnel to resolve minor issues and escalate more significant issues to the process engineering team for the line.
- Ensures asset process safety risks are understood, controlled, and continuously reduced.
- Participates in asset risk assessments; identifies risks, exposure to Company, property and personnel in business units and develops controls for mitigation.
- Monitors process safety KPIs and initiates corrective actions, as necessary.
- Perform/Review/Recommend technical input on Site Operations Procedures (SOPs).
- Performs follow-up actions and observations from self-verification checks that are related to process safety engineering e.g., Relief System, Locked Valves, MOC compliance, Control of Work, adherence to process safety engineering standards.
- Provides technical support and expertise in process safety management and asset integrity management process to all Business Units to ensure that assets are properly designed and installed in accordance with specifications and remains fit for use over the whole lifecycle of the asset.
- Provides support, guidance and participates in Incident Investigations Teams.
- Monitors HSSE performance indicators and parameters to meet compliance requirements and publish reports.
- Assists in the management of emergency response to business units.
- Develops policies, procedures and guidelines to support the process safety.
- Provides support and guidance on Management of Change activities.
- Provides input into the development, review, and implementation of a Contractor Management System.
- Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science or Engineering or international equivalent in Chemical Engineering or relevant engineering subject.
- Master of Engineering would be an asset.
- Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent industrial HSSE experience.
- Professional accreditation, such as Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer is preferable.
- Over six (6) yearsâ experience in Operations or Engineering or HSSE with emphasis on Process Safety/Control of Work

Reservoir Engineering Technician

To retrieve, verify, analyze, interpret, monitor and compile reservoir and other related data/information to provide technical support to professional staff in projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Collates data which allow the professional staff to do further analysis.
- Generates basic geological log cross sections, various maps, montages, in support of geological interpretations.
- Provides support for reservoir modelling applications and workstation G&G projects as directed by professional staff.
- Conducts Quality Audit and Quality Control of field work with regards to data sampling to ensure data quality and data source integrity.
- Conducts trending of technical data and recommends relevant and suitable interventions to rectify abnormal situations.
- Creates, captures and manages records as directed for use in monitoring and optimization.
- Performs preliminary economic assessments and assists with results for approval by appropriate Line level.
- Prepares, tracks and monitors financial transactions.
- Prepares documents required for regulatory approvals to ensure statutory compliance.
- Monitors and maintains Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) compliance.
- Ensures compliance with Asset Management Systems and Procedures.
- Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfill the job purpose.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
- A minimum of two (2) yearsâ experience in the oil and gas industry. Working knowledge of geology, petroleum and reservoir engineering, drilling, work-over, production and EOR terms and equipment.
OR
- Technician Diploma.
- A minimum of five (5) years E&P experience in the oil and gas industry. Working knowledge of geology, petroleum and reservoir engineering, drilling, work-over, production and EOR terms and equipment.

To provide good oversight on HSSE Management Systems and Regulatory Compliance with Environmental and Safety Legislation.
To participate in the development and implementation of HSSE strategies, policies, and systems to assist delivery of safe, reliable and compliant operations. To support all aspects of HSSE performance including the monitoring and reporting of HSSE compliance and risk.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops, reviews and implements HSSE programmes and strategies in the Safety and Environmental Management System.
- Prepares Regulatory Permits, Environmental Impact Assessments, and other required documentation for approval to achieve overall regulatory compliance.
- Coordinates with business unit leaders to deliver inspections, improvement plan, tracks progress, organizes audits and assurance checks.
- Identifies risks, exposure to Company, property and personnel in business units and develops controls for mitigation.
- Conducts HSSE legal compliance audits with reference to providing support in the interpretation of HSSE legal compliance requirements to Business Units.
- Interfaces with regulatory ministries (EMA & MEEI) on compliance requirements.
- Provides technical support in waste management systems, pollution prevention and control, mitigation of potential environmental risks and environmental monitoring and auditing.
- Provides support, guidance and participates in incident investigations.
- Sharing of learnings and implementation of corrective actions leading to continuous improvement.
- Monitors HSSE performance indicators and parameters to meet compliance requirements and publish reports.
- Assists in the management of emergency response to business units.
- Develops policies and procedures and guidelines to support the HSSE Management System.
- Supports the implementation, management, and certification of environmental management system (ISO 14001).
- Designs and delivers HSSE Training programs and provides coaching support to business unit leaders to enable their visible and felt HSSE leadership.
- Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health & Safety or Environment, or Engineering, or Natural Science or any other related discipline.
- Minimum of six (6) yearsâ technical or operational experience preferably within the oil and gas industry.
Preferred (would be an asset):- A professional qualification in Occupational Safety, such as Corporate Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health or Certified Safety Professional would be desirable.
