INVENTORY CONTROL MANAGER (Delivery Warehouse and Maintenance Stores)
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Inventory Control Manager (Delivery Warehouse and Maintenance Stores) manages the staff and operations of the Warehouse, Maintenance Stores and Distribution departments, maintaining target inventory accuracy and availability, optimizing storage space utilization, reducing damages to stock, reducing inventory shrinkage for all storage locations, prompt and efficient loading of export containers and ensuring on time and in full deliveries of sales orders to local Customers. The position achieves these deliverables for both centralized and remote warehouse and distribution locations.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages the Groupâs Delivery Warehouse and Maintenance Stores operations as per AHL Inventory Policy and Procedures so as to meet operational requirements of the Company without unnecessary delays or stoppages.
- Ensures effective execution of all warehousing policies, procedures and supply chain protocols to ensure efficient and on-time receipt, storage and deliveries.
- Implements measures to mitigate loss or damage to the Groupâs working capital assets.
- Plans and manages warehouse and transportation services in compliance with the companyâs policies; tracks and reports on the cost and efficacy of these services to the Inventory Manager.
- Ensures inventory accuracy within targets for the Delivery Warehouse and Maintenance Stores via inventory counts and reconciliation with the ERP system ensuring stock variances are promptly resolved.
- Ensures accurate and timely order picking and delivery of Finished Goods to customers.
- Monitors, maintains and reports on customer service levels for all delivery operations.
- Ensures maintenance of stock accuracy and stock security within targets in the Delivery Warehouse and Maintenance Stores as applicable.
- Ensures compliance with appropriate stock rotation strategies in all Warehouses including monitoring/reporting of best before dates for all finished products.
- Ensures safe and effective operations of all Delivery Warehouse and Maintenance Stores functions.
- Ensures optimal space utilization in the Delivery Warehouse and Maintenance Stores.
- Ensures optimization of labour requirements for effective cost control and delivery of target service levels for the assigned departments.
- Ensures appropriate disposal of obsolete, expired or damaged inventory in accordance with Company Policy and in collaboration with the Inventory Manager.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant Quality Management Standards including maintaining high housekeeping standards.
- Makes recommendations to the Inventory Manager for improvements in the assigned departmental functions and supports with implementation as required.
- Maintains healthy internal relations with key department leads.
- Leads and coaches a high-performance team.
- Prepares Performance Objectives and communicate them to subordinate staff; conducts quarterly performance review and takes corrective action as required; completes annual performance assessment.
- Performs such other related duties as may be assigned by the Inventory Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:- Bachelorâs Degree in Accounting, Engineering, Management, Supply Chain Management/Logistics/Operation Management/ Business Management.
- CIPS, CPM, CQM or CQE would be an asset.
- An equivalent combination of both experience and qualifications will be considered in lieu of minimum qualifications.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES:
- At least three (3) yearsâ experience in managing, coaching and mentoring staff in a FMCG multi-Warehouse and Deliveries environment.
- At least three (3) yearsâ experience in a customer service environment, a technical or commercial environment together with demonstrated Supply Chain knowledge.
- Experience and training in safe and efficient container loading/ unloading and the management/ shipping of hazardous cargo would be an asset.
- Experience with Inventory Management ERP systems.
- Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point and ERP systems such as SAP.
- AHL Procurement Policy and Procedures.
- Trinidad Customs & Brokerage.
- Warehousing and Supply Chain Operations.
- Accounting Standards for Inventory Management.
