      Massy Wood is recruiting for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer for its Trinidad office. Candidates must be a national citizen or permanent resident of Trinidad and Tobago with a first degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.

      • Originate discipline deliverables under direction of senior discipline personnel.
      • Assist the Discipline Lead Engineer and/or Discipline Function Lead as directed.
      • Accompany senior discipline personnel to execute surveys, both onshore and offshore, to determine information to allow execution of scopes of work.
      • Apply engineering principles for design analyses within the discipline.
      • Follow procedures for document control and discipline design, e.g. creation of discipline design deliverables, use and retention of check prints / IDC prints.
      • Liaise with the Discipline Function Lead to identify areas for professional development and to develop a Training Plan.
      • Work and progress according to Training Plan.

      Skills / Qualifications

      • First Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSc, BEng).
      • Typically a minimum of 0-2 years’ relevant experience.
      • Possesses basic appreciation of discipline software and tools.
      • Possesses basic appreciation of key discipline applications.
      • Possesses a reasonable command of the English language and must be able to communicate English effectively in the field of Engineering.

      Description

      The HSSE Officer is responsible for auditing, challenging, coaching, communicating, developing, executing, evaluating, coordinating, influencing, monitoring and training the various HSSE programs

      Overview / Responsibilities

      Massy Wood is recruiting for an HSSE Officer for our Fabrication Shop with experience in the oil, gas and energy sector.

      The HSSE Officer is responsible for auditing, challenging, coaching, communicating, developing, executing, evaluating, coordinating, influencing, monitoring and training  the various HSSE programs within the designated area, guaranteeing the compliance with the HSSE policies, standards and established systems within Massy Wood Group.

      • Conduct pre-mobilization inspection and verification check
      • Conduct contractor site visit and perform site inspection and/or audit.
      • Complete HSSE pre-qualification requirements to new and existing services
      • Rate accurately contractors based on questionnaire
      • Submit to SCM contractor HSSE evaluation report
      • Provide selection feedback required from SCM based on evaluations
      • Conduct all leading indicators – STOP, SOC’s and Influencer etc.
      • Generate balanced HSSE dashboards
      • Generate HSSE violations when process/procedure is deviated from.
      • Delivery of relevant HSSE training
      • Communicate audit / inspection findings and/or risk interventions to client and  immediate supervisors
      • Ensure compliance to Control of Work
      • Conduct walkabouts with front line supervisors and communicate findings
      • Heighten attention to high impact safety incentive projects. Capture the recognition of employees going above and beyond HSSE requirements

      Skills / Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health from a recognised university
      • National Examination Board of Safety and Health (NEBOSH) Certificate/Diploma from a recognised Certified Safety Professional Board
      • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar position
      • Exposure at an operational location associated with Oil/Gas exploration, production and or processing, preferably in a line position
      • Broad knowledge of HSSE regulations (TT laws, API, OSHA, NFPA, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14000) as relates to contractor management
      • Knowledge of various operations in oil and gas
      • Risk Assessment process

      The QA QC Inspector (Offshore) – Electrical and Instrumentation will assist in the field execution of the quality assurance and quality control program

      Overview / Responsibilities

      Massy Wood is recruiting for an QA QC Inspector (Offshore) with Electrical and Instrumentation specialization and experience in the oil and gas industry.

      The QA QC Inspector (Offshore) – Electrical and Instrumentation will assist in the field execution of the quality assurance and quality control program by ensuring quality issues/problems within Construction/Engineering are identified, reported and rectified; provide office support when required and not assigned to an offshore asset; plan, coordinate and report on the execution of QAQC plans within Inspection activities/findings for the Construction/Engineering Department; inspect, supervise and attest key hold ITP’s points along with Subcontractors quality personnel on the field; coordinate with Subcontractors quality the correct implementation of Subcontractors Quality Programs.

      • Anticipate and resolve problems encountered in the field to eliminate costly rework or re-testing.
      • Validates the approval, distribution and revision of procedures, Process Plans and Work / Operations Procedures for the overall Construction activity. Liaises with the Construction/Engineering Department where necessary.
      • Identifies and evaluates Quality-related incidents / problems / non-conformances and initiates, recommends, and provides effective solutions where necessary.
      • Responsible for the initiation, collection, disposition and retention of QA/QC records in a timely manner in accordance with documented procedures.
      • Manages relationship with Sub-contracted companies to ensure compliance between subcontracted services and Client best practices.
      • Perform Audit surveillance as work progresses, avoid last minute discoveries, address repetitive non-compliance and monitor implementation of corrective actions in response to the identification of non-conforming products/services through QA/QC Audits or otherwise, until the unsatisfactory condition has been rectified.
      • Perform site inspections at subcontractor workshops which include but not limited to Instrument Calibration, Control Valve testing, Material inspections
      • Review all inspection and testing reports for compliance, with reference to applicable industry codes and site standards/procedures.

      Skills / Qualifications

      • Diploma/Certification in Electrical/Instrumentation or Industrial Engineering from a recognised institution.
      • Certification/Training in Quality (must be based on ISO 9001:2008) from a recognised institution. (For example, CQE, CQA, CQT or CQI).
      • Offshore Experience
      • EX Certification
      • Wireman License
      • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar position.
      • Experience working with E&I material
      • Knowledgeable about E&I material storage and Preservation Requirements
      • Ability to interpret E&I Drawings
      • A working knowledge of Construction / Electrical / Inspection codes and practices such NETA ATS, NEC 500/505, NFPA 70, API 598, API 527
      • Inspector shall have direct knowledge of all aspects of electrical testing such as Insulation Resistance testing, Current and Voltage testing
      • As a minimum, he shall have experience with: Installation of equipment such as, Measurement Instrumentation, F&G Devices Telecommunication devices, Electrical power and control Cables, Instrument Tubing, Pumps, Motors, Skids, Valves, Vessels, Compressors, Fired Heaters, Auxiliary Equipment, Packaged Equipment in plant construction etc.

      Field Supervisor

      Description

      The Field Supervisor is responsible for assisting project execution and assuring achievement of the plan in terms of quality, time and budget in compliance with the Company’s HSSE and technical standards as well as established policies and procedures.

      Overview / Responsibilities

      Massy Wood is currently recruiting for a Field Supervisor with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

      The Field Supervisor is responsible for assisting project execution and assuring achievement of the plan in terms of quality, time and budget in compliance with the Company’s HSSE and technical standards as well as established policies and procedures.

      • Responsible for optimizing resources and looking after the profitability of the company and its clients.
      • Maintains an Electronic Daily Log to capture all Critical Events, Occurrences, and Happenings. This Log should be available to Construction Coordinator or Superintendent at any time.
      • Provide Daily Report in a timely manner to Construction Coordinator and Planner to allow Project Controls Reports be populated and to advise Coordinator of current Project status.
      • Accountable for the quality and accuracy of work carried out as well as ensuring the accuracy of execution reports.
      • Tracks the progress of the project, reporting progress, concerns and recommended corrective actions promptly to the Construction Superintendent.
      • Develops and improves relationships between engineering, maintenance, operations and construction teams including Sub Contractor Departments
      • Acts as the Focal Point for all construction related activities within the assigned assets when delegated by the Construction Superintendent.
      • Identification of appropriate resources required to perform works and forward planning of resources.
      • Identification of increased or reduction in scope, and relaying the necessary support documents and information to the Construction Engineer for Project Control Purposes
      • Ensure Contractor(s) performance is in accordance with work schedule, specifications and all other requirements
      • Manage an effective team (including Subcontractors) – provide leadership and motivation to the team
      • Lead, guide and support all team members in the execution of the assigned projects in an organized, effective and efficient manner
      • Lead the execution of assigned projects, assuring that all allocated responsibilities are dealt with accordingly
      • Assure Asset Integrity standards are maintained
      • Ensure all work carried out complies with company and client standards along with current legislation and follows sound industry norms and practices
      • Demonstrate a high level of safety awareness to ensure Subcontractors are aware of standards expected.  To proactively assist whoever necessary to improve and maintain the HS&E performance
      • Ensure all records and required documentation from the project (both electronic and hard copies) are maintained and completed to auditable standards in a timely manner. (Including the assurance of contractors documentation when required.
      • Capturing and share learning during the execution of projects
      • Liaise with Operations, Sub Contractor, and Construction Coordinator to analyze and solve execution problems
      • Responsible for the motivation of staff to identify improvement opportunities that add value to both the company and the client
      • Ensure client Control of Work (COW) procedures and Site Technical Practices (STPs) are adhered to while executing projects
      • Ensure Construction compliance with all QA/QC requirements in relation to Completion Management Systems, Discipline Check Sheets, and ITR compliance



      Skills / Qualifications

      • Technical Diploma from a recognized institute.
      • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in construction / supervision in oil and gas industry
      • Ability to synthesize complex or diverse information.
      • Ability to delegate work assignments and give authority to work independently, set expectations and monitor delegated activities.
      • Knowledge of Construction information systems.
      • Knowledge of Construction planning, scheduling and reliability concepts.
      • Ability to work effectively and prioritize in a high performance, fast-paced work environment
      • Inspires and motivates others to work well and accepts feedback
      • Seeks ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.

      The Construction Superintendent – E&I is responsible for leading project execution on an offshore rotation, assuring achievement of the plan.

      Massy Wood is recruiting for a Construction Superintendent with Electrical and Instrumentation specialization and offshore experience in the construction, oil and gas industry.

      Overview / Responsibilities

      The Construction Superintendent is responsible for leading project execution on an offshore rotation, assuring achievement of the plan in terms of quality, time and budget in compliance with the Company’s HSSE and technical standards as well as established policies and procedures.

      • Efficiently Plan, implement and manage a team of construction personnel including Construction Supervisors and Coordinators
      • Provide constructability input to the design and direction in the layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, test and pre-commissioning of on/offshore facilities equipment, to ensure compliance with the agreed scopes of work and project schedule.
      • Provide Construction engineering support to construction and commissioning activities.
      • Review work packs including detailed Job card man-hour estimating and compilation of WBS’s.
      • Provide assistance in the contracting activities, including preparation of tender enquiry documents, preparation of responses to tenderers requests for technical clarifications; and plays an active role in the evaluation of tenders from a technical point of view according to Massy Wood Group policies and procedures.
      • Prepare estimates and assist in the review of proposed schedules
      • Participate as necessary in discussions with Client and visit jobsites when necessary. Liaise with client Technical Authority as and when needed for approval of procedures and other Work pack Documents.
      • Carry our Self Verification exercises on projects
      • Responsible for the overall delivery of the integrated construction portfolio on the asset

      Skills / Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and InstrumentationEngineering from a recognised university or equivalent
      • Valid TBOSIET
      • Minimum of five (5) – seven (7) years’ experience in construction in oil and gas industry with involvement in Process piping and equipment projects
      • Ability to read and understand P&ID’s for process and piping systems
      • Knowledge of Construction information systems.
      • Knowledge of Construction planning, scheduling and reliability concepts.
