Job Title:     Cost Accountant

Job Purpose:

To function as a member of the Finance Department Management Team. Manages the personnel and activities of the Costing & Inventory Section of the Department to ensure that the Company’s accounting and other financial records are maintained, information is monitored and analysed, and required reports are produced as per Company requirements.

Key Result Areas:

1. Ensures maintenance of proper costing for both Raw Materials & Finished Goods.
2. Management of Standard Cost changes and its impact on Finance
3. Management of Work Orders close off on a weekly basis
4. Review of costing’s and approval of invoices on a daily basis
5. Supervision of all inventory counts and troubleshooting any issues
6. Managing Line 5 50/50 Model with Coca Cola
7. Preparation of yield and syrup reports on a bi monthly basis
8. Ensures maintenance of proper General Ledger records and monthly General Ledger reconciliations pertaining to inventory
9. Managing monthly closing of General Ledger for all costing’s and vouchering in the deadline set
10. Complies with and ensures that all personnel supervised adhere to the Company’s policies and regulations.
11. Manages and reviews the job results of all direct reports to ensure continuous growth and development of the employees.
12. Ensures all relevant systems & programs are in compliance with ISO requirements
13. Dealing with both Internal & External Auditors as it pertains to inventory or costing’s
14. Any other duties that may be required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Must have knowledge of Accounting.
• Analytical skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Operational understanding of ISO standards and application of a management system to achieve business results
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory and KORE requirements
• Knowledge of IMS policies and procedures relevant to the job description

Experience:

• 3 years’ experience at a Senior level in the field of Accounting.

Education:

• Level 3 ACCA/ ACCA Qualified
• Degree in Accounting.
