Class 5 and Heavy T Truck Drivers
Core Responsibilities
- Provide support to customers- hardware stores and contractors, by way of operating delivery trucks including 40’ trailers and 10 ton / 5 ton trucks.
- Provide support to Manufacturing company both when receiving and delivering raw materials and containers by operating trucks including 40’ trailers and 10 ton trucks to and from all ports.
- Receiving instruction including documentation and positively participating in supervision and loading / dispatching of trucks assigned.
- To operate company vehicles in a safe, timely and efficient manner in accordance with the laws of Trinidad and Tobago regarding driving regulations.
- To ensure customer receives goods in good condition as scheduled and any issues are documented on accompanying delivery documents.
Skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Oral and written communication skills
- Time Management
- Excellent driving skills, both on the road and in close quarters.
Education/Training
- Appropriate Trinidad and Tobago Driver’s License regarding relevant truck Class.
- Knowledge of Steel and Wire, Construction and / or Hardware Retail Industry.
- Knowledge of the Geography of Trinidad for efficiency in deliveries.
Experience
- At least Five Years’ experience operating Heavy Vehicles.
- Experience working in a Manufacturing / Distributing environment.
- Recent Certificate of Good Character from the T.T.P.S.
