To develop, recommend and implement marketing plans and promotions and work closely with the Sales, Marketing, Promotions and Merchandising teams to facilitate the achievement of optimum brand equity, sales, quality, distribution, visibility, price, placement and promotion of the assigned brands to enhance the Company’s image as a preferred supplier in the Industry.
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Development and management of brand strategies, communications and marketing campaigns through creation of annual marketing plans, using various effective platforms to reach target customer in conjunction with the Group Product Manager.
- Implement marketing plans, promotions, media and product launches for assigned brands to facilitate the achievement of the Company’s marketing objectives in conjunction with Group Product Manager.
- Carry out market research, stay current and monitor market trends, competitive activities and conduct consumer insights, to identify opportunities and key issues and areas for investment.
- Conduct brand sales analysis and use category insight to understand performance of brands, and report to senior managers ensuring the required corrective actions are developed and implemented by channel, to drive volume and profitability.
- Achieve and monitor monthly sales and gross profit targets in keeping with brand objectives
- Propose A&P spend allocation to Group Product Manager and manage approved A&P spend in line with budgeted, margin requirements and brand investment.
- Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
- Evaluate optimum distribution, visibility, price, placement and promotion of the assigned brands in all trade channels.
- Prepare draft forecasts and budget proposals in collaboration with suppliers Group Product Manager, ensuring that all expenses are accounted for and tracked.
- Conduct regular trade audits, monitoring existing brand portfolio, competitive activity, promotional trends and identify opportunities and areas for investment, including appropriate tactical initiatives to counteract such activity.
- Monitor product expiration dates and damages of assigned brands at the Warehouse and on trade, and implement measures to keep expiries to a minimum.
- Assist with inventory management – ICM forecasting – to ensure minimization of stock-outs, reduction in slow moving stock and liquidation of discontinued products and monitoring of expiry dates.
- Be the liaison and work closely with Principals to manage brands in the market.
- Create and disseminate tools needed for sales, promotions and merchandising team to launch/introduce products in line with road map.
- Perform other related duties that may be required to enhance the operations of the Company.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing / Business Management or related field.
- A minimum of one (1) year similar experience in a FMCG Company
- Or relevant combination of training and experience
Key Competencies:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Understanding of marketing functions and current trends.
- Possess creativity and ability to produce innovative ideas.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiating, organizational and analytical skills
- Must poses a properly maintained motor vehicle

The incumbent is expected to aggressively promote and manage the Company’s Pharmaceutical Division in order to ensure continuous growth of market share and maximize profit contribution to the Company.
Some Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities include:
- Develop and implement strategic sales & marketing plans, budgets and forecasts to achieve corporate and supplier objectives for products and services.
- Manage the growth and development of the Division
- Monitor and control Division’s expenses ensuring optimum use of resources ensuring optimal use of resources that also generates optimum profitability for the Division and in turn the Company
- Ensure the effective management of stock so as to avoid stock-outs and over-stocked situations
- Continually evaluate the Division’s portfolio, seek out and capitalize on new business opportunities and cull unprofitable lines or brands
- Maintain control of the Division’s Accounts Receivable
- Continually develop and maintain close contact with key customers to obtain feedback on their requirements
- Regularly maintain close contact with Principals to foster stronger ties and ensure long-term relationships
- Oversee Sales Managers, Sales Supervisors and their team, Brand Managers, Medical Representatives, Pharmacist and team and Administrative Assistant.
- Challenge and motivate staff to consistently achieve extraordinary results
Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing or related field.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- At least ten (10) years’ experience in a Sales / Marketing environment, with at least five (5) being at a senior management level
- Or relevant combination of training & experience will also be considered. Experience in this industry would be considered an asset.
