Position Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for relationships and sales of the full line of Nestlé Professional products to key territory operators and distributors within all appropriate business segments.
A day in the life of…
Market
- Identify territory business opportunities and potential
- Generate incremental sales on full line within key trade account operators, products dealers and distributors.
- Successfully implement new product introductions into the sales channel.
- Develop territory strategy to incorporate basis Regional Plan
- Set monthly, quarterly and yearly target for each Distributor
- Achievement & monitor progress of Redistribution value and volume targets
- Ensure product availability at all relevant channels through the distributor’s sales force per Company guideline
- Achieve merchandising and display of company products according to Nestlé guidelines and standards
- Accurate and timely reports on Market intelligent: competitor’s activity, price changes and promotional support
Distributor
- Ensure compliance of Distributors with their respective roles & responsibilities
- Manage and develop individual distributor in an active and profitable manner
- Ensure the proper and correct execution of sales, discount and trading terms determined by the company
- Monitor and minimize the level of Bad goods returns
- Develop strong business relationship with distributors, trade and key account in their territories
- Providing strategic direction/input for the development of Distributors’ Field Sales strategies in line with the business requirements.
- Call on local distributors, operators and office products dealers to implement / support the programs developed regionally.
- Develop strong customer relationships with all key customer personnel.
Sales
- Driving the achievement of sales and profitability targets by developing, implementing and regularly tracking the results of appropriately tailored distributor and/or customer plans aligned with the strategic direction for key channels and/or customers.
What Will Make You Successful
- 10+ years in Sales with Customer Service and Marketing
- 6+ of direct outside sales, B2B or business development experience
- 6+ years of experience in market planning, foodservice, hospitality, and/or beverage
- 5+ years negotiating complex agreements
- Strong Sales & Mktg knowledge to develop and execute Territory Business Plans.
- Financial acumen with clear understanding of P&L drivers.
- First Degree in Business Management or Sales
