      Financial Analyst

      Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago Limited


      To assist and support the financial reporting function in the timely completion of the company’s monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and reconciliations.

      The incumbent would be responsible for ensuring at all times that the most relevant and up-to-date international financial reporting standards and GAAP are applied to the department’s day-to-day operations.


      Monthly closing of Financial Reports and completion of reconciliations:

      To be held responsible for the preparation of specific monthly, quarterly and annual variance reports by the analysis and investigation of past results, perform variance analyses and reconciliations between budget and actual revenues and costs reported; including warehouse analysis reports.

      To be responsible for the provision and completion of various inputs used for the preparation of monthly management accounts.

      Revenue and Pricing

      To inform, communicate with all departments and source information regarding the performances of various product and services offerings, as it impacts on company’s financial performance by compilation of information by Bill cycle, transaction and usage by running and validation of revenue queries;  enter/update products with price on selected software application and Point of Sale.

      To be responsible for the analysis and evaluation of assigned revenue generation activities of the company from the data statistics of the various exchanges, in order to detect any significant changes patterns that would impact revenues; includes creation of manual revenue journals for the relevant lines on selected software applications.

      Automated Reports and Models

      To consult as a team member in the creation of financial models, automated reporting and forecasting tools by analysis of financial data, develop ways to improve reporting parameters to better meet accounting and statutory requirements.

      To provide information by way of recommendations to management based on the analysis of different reports.

      Interfacing of Salaries and Subsistence Data, Accruals, Accounts Receivable, Billing and Payments

      To compile and verify data uploaded to selected software applications with accompanying journals by posting transactions, validate uploads and completion of requisite journal entries.

      TATT – Concession/Spectrum

      To analyze and validate that payments are made, and corresponding journals completed.


      Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of monthly controls on assigned significant general ledger accounts, which includes detailing opening and closing accruals and validation of the basis for monthly charges to the management accounts.

      To provide inputs via consultation, into the implementation and maintenance of policies, procedures and systems to ensure efficient and effective financial management over the operations of the company; Document all procedures within the Department and ensure standardization as it relates to IAS, IFRS and GAAP. To support the development, monitoring and improvement, of an efficient corporate-wide accounting system via consultation with team.

      To consult with team members in the development of projections and make recommendations that increase the reliability and validity of the company’s predictions for future cash flow, its ability to meet its financial obligations and its overall financial health.

      To provide requested information to Auditors and responsible for follow up on implementation of Departments Internal & External Audit recommendations.

      Workplace Safety – all work is carried out in accordance with Company HSE policies and procedures.

      Performs such other related duties as may be assigned, from time to time by the Line Manager/Senior Manager.


      At least a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management OR A Professional Accounting designation at level II ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA or equivalent

      Knowledge of International financial reporting standards, financial modelling, industry trends in telecom or any other as required.

      At least three (3) years of experience in the financial environment.

      Experience with Office Productivity Tools such as MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Visio and MS Project and other related accounting software.

      Work is completed within an office-based environment.

      Data Analysis: Analyzes and draws insights from relevant data to identify organizational challenges and opportunities. Uses storytelling to effectively communicate insights and actionable, data-informed recommendations.

      Senior Manager Treasury – Banks & Vendor Management

      Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago Limited


      This position is responsible for ensuring that the Finance Department is operating efficiently, with specific responsibility for the Treasury & Vendor Management teams.

      This position is required to maintain transparent relationships with vendors by oversight of the payment of accounts payable vouchers in accordance with the company’s corporate policies and procedures.

      The incumbent is also required to manage the printing and disbursement of company cheques; process critical wire transfers. To ensure that all necessary accounting practices are adhered to, required reports are processed, reconciliations performed and records maintained.


      To manage the processing of invoices and payments in compliance with the company’s standards and procedures. Close management of Client Payables function, ensuring payments are made within contractually stipulated timelines.

      To provide accurate monthly statistics and reports for all processed invoices, cheques and payments.

      To investigate, analyze and resolve all vendor invoices disputes; Liaise with other departments to ensure timely submission of documentation for purchases and vendor invoices and other specifics that can affect the Accounts payable Section.

      To initiate meetings with external Banks and Financial Institutions, Vendors and suppliers/partners in order to develop relationships which will assist in better rates, access to foreign currency and aid in improving the Reconciliation Process.

      Supervision of the Treasury Department to ensure availability of cash for day to day Company operations.

      Ensure that accurate bank reconciliations are completed in a timely manner and outstanding items investigated and resolved.

      Close supervision of the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely preparation of all related reports within established deadlines.

      Ensure accurate and timely preparation of cash flow forecast for inclusion in monthly reports.

      Ensures that there is detailed forecasting of all revenues and costs of the business, and that cash flow is forecasted correctly and cash is optimally used in the business.

      Works closely with the bankers to ensure all US$ requirements forecasted are met on a monthly basis.

      Plays an active part in the planning and coordination of audits of the business e.g. annual audit, SAS 100 review, tax audit, internal audit etc.

      To develop and manage the Section’s approved annual budget to ensure that all required resources are provided internally and delivered to external printing vendors to facilitate bill production e.g. consumables, stationery, bill printers and inserters etc.

      To develop performance metrics for vendors and manage their performance based on agreed service level agreements (SLAs)

      To provide inputs for the strategic planning process and develop departmental objectives and budget to ensure alignment with TSTT’s strategic plan

      To manage all aspects of employee performance and ensures adherence to all HR Industrial Relations policy and practices

      Ensure all work is done in accordance with established safety practices and procedures

      Perform such other related duties as may be assigned by the CFO, from time to time.


      Full ACCA, CIMA, CMA and/or equivalent.

      At least five (5) years’ experience working as part of team managing Treasury and accounts payable and at least three (3) years in a supervisory or management role.

      Experience with Office Productivity Tools such as MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Visio and MS Project and other related accounting software.

      An MBA would be an asset.
