Job Purpose & Summary:
The Credit Officer partner’s with all clients to achieve their strategic business objectives while at the same time adhering to the Bank’s risk appetite and policies approved by the BOD. This involves documenting comprehensive credit proposals that reflect the Client’s Financial and Business needs, which would facilitate growth. In addition, he/she ensures that all clients’ requests are completed in a comprehensive, accurate, professional and timely manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares comprehensive credit proposals ensuring that all risks are identified, analysed and with mitigants, if applicable, in order that informed recommendations for approvals are made. Works closely with the Portfolio Management Unit with respect to booking of approved facilities.
Maintains close client contact to take advantage of upsell opportunities, ensuring that assigned targets are achieved.
Ensures that all client queries and requests are completed in a comprehensive, accurate, professional and timely manner.
Ensures that close client contact is made to identify problems which would result in timely watch listing and early corrective action.
Keep abreast of current economic, industry and other environmental developments that may impact clients, which will facilitate meaningful conversations to inform decisions both by the client and the Bank.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Economics/Finance or related field from an accredited University
Institute of Banking and Finance of Trinidad and Tobago (IBAF) qualifications would be a benefit
A minimum of three (3) years banking experience in Credit Risk
Experience in a similar position would be an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare evaluation of the benefits, return on investment, costs, risks of alternative options, as well the rationale for the preferred solution to obtain stakeholder approval to proceed
Prepare Impact and Risk Assessment on various aspects of the business including: Process, Technology, Infrastructure, People, Delivery channels and Brand/Product/Service

Required Qualifications/Experience:
