      Job Description

      The Guidance Counsellor will be responsible for assessing students’ needs, goals, interests, and prior academic experiences towards the development and implementation of an effective academic plan, so as to guide their decision making with respect to career goals.  He / She will collaborate with faculty to address group or individual needs of students such as, adapting to academy life and coping in high stress environments.  He / She will also be responsible for interpreting and communicating the Academy’s policies, procedures and programme options to facilitate students’ academic success.

      • Analyses the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service Strategic Plan for the design and development of law enforcement training.

      • Manages the conduct of training needs assessments for the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
