JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB SUMMARY
Mobilization of communities as determined by the Minister of Community Development to improve participation in the Prime Minister’s Best Village Programme.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Train Tutors to teach dance in various communities
Tutor community/cultural groups for participation in the Best Village Programme
Carry out protocol duties regarding the visit of international/regional artistes
Facilitate dialogue/communication between community groups and visiting artistes
Assist in coordinating shows (Community and National
Conduct community meetings to plan for the Best Village Programmes
Perform any other relevant duties as determined by the Manager, Best Village Programme or other designated officers

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
Training as evidenced by a Certificate/Diploma in Dance and considerable experience in
the field of Dance; or any equivalent combination of experience and training
Experience with the Prime Minister’s Best Village Programme would be an asset

JOB SUMMARY
To assist the Best Village Unit in the organizing and promoting of the Prime Minister’s Best Village Trophy Competition throughout Trinidad and Tobago.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Organizes and promotes Best Village Programmes throughout the assigned county
Develops and assists with the implementation of projects and programmes
Services group meetings – Performs general follow-up work in all communities
Liaises with other agencies engaged in activities that will empower communities
Prepares reports and assists with general office duties and other assignments when necessary

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
At least three (3) O’ Level CXC passes
Evidence of active participation in programmes under the Prime Minister’s Best Village Trophy Competition and /or any other combination of training and experience

JOB DESCRIPTION
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans, organizes, promotes and directs the Prime Minister’s Best Village
Exhibitions and Competitions on a nationwide basis amongst social and cultural
groups
Serves as Secretary to the Prime Minister’s Best Village Steering Committee
Prepares and circulates rules for competitions and exhibitions, publicizes and
encourages groups and individuals to participate therein
Solicits assistance from government Ministries and Departments in promoting the
exhibitions
Interviews groups and individuals on matters pertaining to the exhibitions and
competitions
Arranges venues, supervises physical arrangements including accommodation,
provision of equipment and security measures
Arranges for the transportation of exhibits and participants
Supervises Executive Assistant and Media Relations Officer
All other related duties and activities associated with the Programme

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Possess personal integrity and be highly respected both locally and internationally
Have demonstrated an interest in National Development
Be a team player possessing leadership qualities

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
University level qualification preferably in Social Sciences or Management
Experience in Management and Development work with groups and communities
Any equivalent combination of experience and training
