The Digital Content Creator will be responsible for the planning, development and creation of digital and marketing assets for the purpose of marketing all products and services in line with the company’s strategies and objectives for both digital and traditional channels.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead on the day-to-day management of the company’s digital channels, creating engaging, informative and inspirational content.
- Engage with customers and potential customers who may message or comment on any of the company’s digital channels.
- Work with the DMC to prepare scripts for traditional/digital productions such as radio interviews or Social Media live sessions.
- Plan and implement a program of digital content to be used across all digital channels, increasing engagement with the company’s audience and stakeholders.
- Design graphics/content and provide support for all traditional marketing initiatives and activities.
- Develop creative ideas, suggesting new, innovative ways of delivering digital content.
- Provide assistance to the Digital Marketing Coordinator in the development of concepts for social media platforms and website.
- Advise on the overall design direction for the company website, social media assets and all other creative assets, ensuring the outcome is attractive, intuitive and user-friendly.
- Provide up-to-date insight on industry design trends and best practices and research industry-related topics.
- Prepare well-structured drafts using digital publishing platforms.
- Create and distribute marketing copy to advertise our company and products.
- Proofread written pieces for approval before publication.
- Conduct keyword research and use SEO guidelines to optimize content.
- Promote content on social networks and monitor engagement (e.g. comments and shares).
- Identify customers’ needs and recommend new topics.
- Coordinate with DMCto illustrate articles for approval.
- Update group company websites as needed.
- Provide support to the DMC with execution of social media campaigns and community management.
- Provide design and digital support to internal staff of the group of companies.
- Perform any other role related tasks as requested by the Company.
Person Specifications:
Minimum Acceptable Academic/Technical/Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Design, Communications, or relevant experience.
Minimum number of years of relevant experience
- Two (2) years’ experience creating digital content.
- A strong knowledge of social media platforms, content management systems and best practices.
- A demonstrated eye for good design as evidenced by submission of a diverse portfolio.
- A demonstrated competence in Adobe Creative Suite and/or other design applications.
- Up to date knowledge of design practices and trends.
- A demonstrated understanding of SEO best practices.

- Is able to work in fast paced environments and perform well under pressure.
- Has strong organizational skills.
- Is proactive and eager to develop.
- Is able to multitask and perform with little supervision.
- Has curated content for multiple social media platforms.
- Understands social media content requirements.
- Has a strong portfolio, demonstrating versatility in content creation.
- Has experience in both image and video content creation.
- Is eager to learn and build on existing competences.
- Website design experience is an asset.
