Job Description

This position is responsible for conducting general housekeeping aboard the vessel. These include, but are not limited to oversee the cabin areas, passengers accommodation area, toilets, crew quarters and mess areas.

Key and Critical Responsibilities

1. Clears tables and removes food trays and garbage.
2. Dispose of all garbage according to policy on-board
3. Be alert for signs of contamination or infestation by pests (bacteria, insects, rodents etc.) in galley and general passenger and crew areas.
4. Obligated to execute the safety and environmental policy on-board
5. Ensure the vessel is properly cleaned and sanitised prior to boarding and after docking.
6. Comply with (inter)national legislation, flag state requirements, accepted industry standards, Company decrees and contracts.
7. Performs any other duties related to job functions.

Key Competencies

1. Practice good personal hygiene while maintaining a neat and clean personal appearance.
2. Project good customer service and a professional mannerism.
3. Proper dress code must be adhered to.
4. Ability to exercise emergency response as required.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
