BATCHING SUPERVISOR – RAW MATERIALS WAREHOUSE

Job Summary

To co-ordinate and oversee, the availability, batching and distribution of raw and packaging materials for use in the production function, and to ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are implemented and maintained.

Principal duties and Responsibilities

• Schedule the daily work assignments of staff involved in the batching of raw and packaging materials.
• Liaise with the production scheduling officer to ensure actual batching matches scheduled production.
• Liaise with warehouse personnel to ensure adequate supplies of raw and packaging materials are available.
• Produce daily batching/picking lists for batching of raw and packaging materials.
• Ensure the accurate and timely transfer of batched materials to the production department.
• Ensure that the work area always meets food safety and sanitation standards.
• Oversee the operations and performance of the in-house cleaning staff.
• Order incidental supplies for the batching function.
• Assist in all inventory count exercises as required.
• Supervise a team of general workers who carry out the batching function.

General Requirements

• 5 CXC O’ Level passes inclusive of English Language
• Certification in inventory/warehouse management will be an asset
• At least five (5) years supervisory experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel)
