JOB DETAILS
Position Summary
This position reports to the Vice President, Finance and is primarily responsible for Company’s Corporate Governance, IFRS consolidated reporting requirements, and for supporting the management of all operational financial activities. Duties include, but are not limited to: Manages accounting and financial systems to ensure maintenance of full and accurate accounting records; Identifies opportunities and implements action plans to continuously improve the effectiveness of the finance operations; Leads the preparation of various financial reports in a timely manner, for review by the VP, Finance and Executive Team; Keeps abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation and ensures compliance with all financial legislation, policies and procedures; Analyses financial reporting standards including focus on IFRS to understand implications to the Company, and applies IFRS conversion and the implementation of new standards.Accountable for the preparation of accounting disclosures for Financial Statements following IFRS updates. Prepares and delivers training to relevant parties where required. Creates and maintains Corporate Finance Manuals and ensures that other Corporate Policies are aligned with IFRS regulations and standards. Coordinates and prepares the Company’s Financial reports monthly, quarterly and annually. Prepares and maintains the Fixed Asset Register in accordance with IFRS accounting and taxation legislation, and oversees audit and tax functions coordinating all required activities with consultants/ audit firms.
IFRS:Provides advice on the current and new IFRS standards and keeps up to date on any IFRS developments, translating into the analysis and opinion, and applies subsequent decisions and analyses to reporting, systems, processes. Identifies IFRS problem areas in a set of financial statements, fact patterns and recommends solution(s). Conducts and reports on financial analysis and operational performance, prepares periodical and annual financial reports, and assists with the annual business planning.
Qualifications and Experience
ACCA qualified with at least 5 years’ experience in audit and accounting within and Oil and Gas environment. Specialty in IFRS accounting, with conversion and taxation experience would be a distinct advantage. Diploma in IFRS would be an asset.
Knowledge of local laws regarding finances and taxation.
Demonstrated ability to analyse complex financial accounting scenarios, with proven capability in paying attention to detail and accuracy.NiQuan Energy Vacancies June 2022

Trainee Process Operator

Position Summary
This entry level Operator position resides within the Production Department, and is responsible for performing simple routine jobs under the direction and supervision of senior personnel, while contributing to the efficient and safe operation of the plant.
Initially, emphasis will be placed on training and development and any other site operational support in preparation for the commercialization of the Facility.
Duties include, but are not limited to:- Monitoring, controlling, and recording plant operations and equipment and reporting any non-normal conditions; monitors non-critical plant equipment e.g Utilities, small pumps and fans; participates in taking plant samples for lab analysis and conducts simple plant surveys under the supervision of Senior Operators.
The position will also be required to perform routine operation of basic control systems and devices to monitor levels, temperatures, pressures and flow rates.
Qualifications/ Experience
A minimum of 5 O’ levels including Chemistry, 2 A’ levels including Chemistry OR a Technician Diploma in PPO/MET/EEET or a Degree in Process/ Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.No experience is required. However, previous or current exposure to some industrial experience will be considered an asset. Proven ability to apply basic knowledge of engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, and Process) to Operations, with knowledge about the dangers of acid and caustic chemicals, as well as different types of gases.
Must be able to frequently work outside on the Facility which may include climbing ladders and platforms, working at heights, bending, lifting, confined space entry into vessels, tanks, boilers and heaters.NiQuan Energy Vacancies June 2022

Accounts Payable Analyst

Position Summary:
This position reports to the Vice President, Finance, and is responsible for managing the functions of Accounts Payable in a professional and efficient manner and to ensure all objectives are met.Duties include but not limited to: Sorts, codes and matches invoices and sets invoices up for payment and enters and uploads invoices into Accounting System. Tracks expenses, processes expense reports and prepares and processes electronic transfers and payments – local and foreign as required. Reconciles accounts payable transactions, updates foreign and local payables invoices on a daily basis, and corresponds with vendors and responds to inquiries. Assists with month end closing and reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment. Sets up letter of credit facility for some suppliers. Processes monthly journal entries to general ledger; assist in preparing Vat returns; reconciles of Local and foreign suppliers’ accounts on a monthly basis; reconciles sub-ledger to control accounts on a quarterly basis. Assists in reconciling all bank accounts on a monthly basis. Prepares monthly aging reports and cash projection reports. Maintains Petty Cash distribution, recording and reconciliation, and updates and maintains foreign master files.
Qualifications and Experience
Must possess a minimum of Level 1 ACCA, OR CAT with at least 1-3 years Accounts Payables and general accounting experience.. Experience in Oil and Gas/ Energy Sector will be considered an asset. Sound knowledge of Accounts Payables, general bookkeeping procedures, general accounting principles, and regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Revenue Cost Accountant

Position Summary
This position reports to the Vice President, Finance and is primarily responsible for Company’s monthly income and costing reporting, validation and analysis of costs of goods sold, direct and indirect cost structure.Duties include but are not limited to: Provides detailed levels of analysis of cost drivers for fixed and/or variable production costs; Manages freight invoices and accruals through coordination with the Marketing and Logistics Departments. Prepares monthly journal entries and complete reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts. Provides cash forecasting input related to the areas of fixed and variables costs and includes but is not limited to month-end cost accounting close. Maintains cost accounting system and ledgers; Conducts life cycle cost-benefit and inventory valuation analyses. Maintains the Company’s economic impact analysis model and performs ad hoc analyses. Prepares monthly reconciliations of intercompany balances. Follows up on outstanding amounts for collection and/or payment. Receives, analyses, and distributes for approval, all intercompany invoices received from other territories.Responsible for processing daily income and costing in the Enterprise System. Monitors for Gas imbalances and liaise with Operations Department to minimize monthly imbalances. Conducts or supports activities related to product costing, cost analysis, and standard rate calculations, and reviews daily production summary reports, where applicable. Assists with variable cost invoice validations, including natural gas (raw materials) transactions, and stays up to date on Market Prices (Natural Gas, etc.) to provide early notification of financial impacts.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, ACCA from an accredited institution required and/or a combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5-8 years cost accounting experience in an Oil and Gas environment.
- Sound knowledge of cost accounting and good understanding of IFRS.
- Knowledge and experience with Oracle financials or other ERP desirable.
- Proven analytical and data interrogation skills
- Sound knowledge of management accounting and reporting.
- Advanced MS Office application knowledge including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proven high level of interpersonal skills (communication, listening and reliability).
- Demonstrated public relations skills to interface with both internal and external customers.
- Proven track record of maintaining highest confidentiality.

Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Group Chief Legal Officer and Board Secretary (“CLO”) this position is responsible for assisting the CLO regarding all NiQuan Energy LLC and NiQuan Energy Trinidad Limited (collectively the “NiQuan Energy Group”) legal, compliance, company / commercial, corporate secretariat and other associated activities, to ensure that the in-house legal capabilities are maintained and effectively support strategic and operational needs of the NiQuan Energy Group.Core areas of expertise required but not limited to include, General Counsel issues, Legal Risk Management; Policy Development; Regulatory Compliance; Corporate Governance, Commercial and contractual matters; general procurement and litigation and ADR.Additionally, provides advisory legal advice on commercial matters and interpretations of Trinidad law, rules and regulations and practice including but not limited to the Companies Act, Insolvency, Employment and Industrial Relations, DP and Privacy, IPRs, Anti-Competition, Anti-Corruption and Bribery, AML/CFT, Environmental law, Corporate Governance Code. Ensures that all statutory, compliance, contractual and other legal documentation are filed in the appropriate document management system to ensure proper audits and internal controls.
Qualifications/ Experience Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B), from a recognized University in a common law jurisdiction; Bar / Law Society Certificate, LEC or similar, and admission as an Attorney, Solicitor, Barrister of a recognized bar. An active member of the Law Association of Trinidad & Tobago is also important as the job holder is based in Trinidad and will need to represent the NiQuan Energy Group locally.At least eight (8) years legal experience in commercial and corporate law and compliance, with a proven track record and experience handling, amongst other things, dealing with Government and/or Commercial contract drafting and administration, particularly contract negotiation, drafting and general procurement administration.
Must demonstrate knowledge of, and experience with, laws dealing with government and/or commercial contract administration, particularly contract negotiation, preparation and administration.

Position Summary
The Budgeting & Reporting Analyst reports directly to the Vice President, Finance, and is responsible for providing accurate and timely complex financial analyses and reports with ongoing monitoring and evaluation for programs to support in decision-making to maintain, improve and where required drive financial performance. One of the core functions is the coordination, tracking and management of the Company’s annual budgets and business model. The position is required to liaise with Senior Executives and Managers on a regular basis and maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity at all times.Duties include but are not limited to: Designs, develops and utilizes sophisticated financial models; Supports Companywide plan and forecast process to provide direction in decision making, to provide controls and effectively allocate resources in support of the Company’s strategic goals; Provides overall support for the annual process and independently completes aspects of the budget planning and forecasting process, such as operating expenses and CapEx, with detailed analysis to support and explain data provided.
Continuously improves the reliability of planning and forecasting processes; Develops, prepares, and presents financial reports that include accurate, reliable, relevant, timely information to provide direction in decision making or to satisfy regulatory requirements. Identifies and creates custom reports based on business needs.
Assists with any required analytics for financial forecasts and budget. Prepares weekly, monthly and year to date reports on budget versus actual expense and cashflow, and is required to maintain operations-facing reporting, including weekly follow-up on utilization metrics.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and ACCA with a minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Budgeting Analyst or similar role in Oil and Gas industry
Excellent analytical skills with proven expertise in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication skills both verbally and written, with proven ability to multi-task, take direction and work with minimal supervision.
