The role analyses business requirements and proposes strategies and technology for the achievement of organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides support to business units for clearly defining their functional needs. Identifies key relationships between business drivers, business units, business processes, and information and business systems requirements.
• Leads the analysis of businesses requirements and recommends best-in-class ICT-driven business solutions.
• Leads the evaluation of emerging technologies to enable the achievement of NFM’s strategic objectives.
• Ensures effective project management and delivery of ICT-driven business solutions.
• Prioritizes projects based on impact and risk level; serves as a point of escalation for resolving project challenges, ensuring the achievement of desired results.
• Prepares and submits Project Status Reports to the Manager ICT as required.
• Leads the enhancement of NFM’s reporting and analytical capabilities via the design, development, and implementation of new business intelligence solutions and\or customized software applications.
• Assists in the development of annual work programmes and plans for alignment with the Department’s strategic objectives, provides input on recommended business projects or initiatives.
• Assists with annual budget development and provides estimated costs for ICT-driven business transformation projects.
• Supervises Systems Analysts, assigns duties, identifies employee training and development needs and conducts performance reviews.
• Promotes a learning culture across the Department and recommends opportunities for competency development.
• Performs other duties as required by the job function.

 Qualifications and Experience

• BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
• Project Management certification is desired (e.g., PMP, Prince2 or SCRUM)
• Business Process Management certification will be an asset
• At least seven (7) years’ experience, three (3) of which should be at a supervisory level
• Experience in a manufacturing, sales and distribution environment will be an asset
• Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen with keen attention to detail
• Proven experience with solution design, development, and user training and support
• Proven experience with ICT project management and delivery
• Experience with cutting-edge technologies including cloud-based solutions, mobile applications, and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and reporting writing skills
• Knowledge of emerging information technology trends
• Business acumen, project and change management skills
• Strong research, configuration, implementation, and testing of innovative solutions

The history of Indian Arrival Day traces back to the 19th century when Trinidad and Tobago underwent significant demographic changes due to the abolition of slavery. After the emancipation of African slaves in 1834, there was a demand for labour in Trinidad and Tobago’s agricultural sectors, particularly in the sugar industry. The colonial authorities turned to India as a source of cheap and abundant labour to address this labour shortage. The British colonial government implemented a system of indentured labour, similar to the previous system of African slavery but with some legal differences. Under the indentured labour system, Indian labourers were recruited from various parts of India, primarily from the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Bengal, among others. They were promised work contracts, wages, housing, and provisions for a specific period, typically five years. In exchange, the labourers agreed to work on Trinidad’s plantations. The first ship carrying Indian indentured labourers, the Fatel Razack, arrived in Trinidad on May 30, 1845. This event marked the beginning of a mass influx of Indians into the country over the following decades. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides technical and administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer in data collection, reporting, analysis, observations, and identification of critical issues.
• Coordinates and schedules all meetings (operations, managerial, inter-departmental and external).
• Transcribes meeting minutes, extracts relevant action items, and distributes minutes as required.
• Follows up for execution updates and escalates delayed items to the Chief Operating Officer.
• Prepares Management Tenders Committee (MTC) notes for submission to the MTC, and Board Notes for submission to the Board of Directors.
• Prepares the weekly operations KPI updates including analysis, trending, proximate and root causes.
• Collates data and prepares the monthly operations performance report (including statistical analysis, trending, process capability & stability, root cause investigation, opportunities for design improvements).
• Prepares project development & execution updates.
• Assists with the preparation and analysis of business cases, feasibility studies and preparation of justifications for capital investment in Operations.
• Develops simulations/process models in Excel.
• Liaises with suppliers and contractors to process invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Ensures the timely preparation, input and related activities required to submit purchase requisitions and approve POs on the ERP system.
• Supports the time and attendance administration (timekeeping functions) within the HRIS.
• Assists with the maintenance, record keeping, preparation and co-ordination of the performance management system and leave utilization of the unit.
• Performs other duties as may be required by the job function.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• BSc Production & Operations Management, Business Management or a related discipline
• A minimum of three (3) years of Production Operations experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
• Highly confidential and trustworthy
• Good knowledge of manufacturing and production systems
• Proficient in MS Office applications – strong proficiency in Excel (scenarios, Pivot table analysis, linear programming, graphs & charts)
• Above average report writing and research skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize assignments
• Ability to perform a range of administrative tasks inclusive of record management, creation of forms, summarising of documents, editing of meeting transcripts

• Ability to work with minimal supervision, and meet strict deadlines
