To oversee and assign Project Planners on various projects and also the development and maintenance of project plan/programme in coordination with all stakeholders of the project, such as the Project Team, Pre-Construction and Plant Operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop core planning strategies from Pre-construction to the Construction Phase.
• Evaluate, monitor, and continually improve planning systems at an Operational Level for both short-term and long-term goals.
• Prepare, implement, and maintain a Lean Construction Management Planning System.
• Assist Project Managers and Construction Managers with Site Logistics Planning prior to commencement of works.
• Oversee and assign Project Planners on various projects.
• Liaise with the Pre-Construction Team to evaluate and determine project specific risks and mitigation strategies prior to the submission of Tender bids.
• Liaise with the Pre-Construction, Plant Operations and Project Management Teams to determine equipment and manpower resources required for current and upcoming projects.
• Review construction programmes, developed at the pre-construction and construction phase.
• Monitor the maintenance of Project Schedules on Live Projects.
• Lend support by troubleshooting project schedule errors.
• Implement Planning Logs to live Construction Sites to achieve project milestones.
• Create and implement bi-monthly reports on the planning efficiencies on live construction projects.
• Prepare and facilitate training/workshops with NH staff on holistic Planning Strategies (such as reduction in wastage of time, resources, and improved output).
• Performs any other duties that may be assigned by the Head of Operations.

Experience:

• At least seven (7) years’ experience in a Project Planner / Scheduler role. Seven (7) years Construction experience. Three (3) management/supervisory experience.
• Experience gained on projects at tender and contract stages.
• Good understanding of engineering principles.

Qualifications:

• BSc. in Civil Engineering, or any other suitable engineering certification.

• Excellent IT skills and relevant knowledge of Planning Software, including MS Project, Asta Powerproject and Primavera P6.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD would be an asset.
