Who Can Apply?

The qualification (e.g., Certificate, Diploma, Associates Degree, Bachelor’s, or Master’s,) determines the level at which the Substitute Teacher will be assessed to teach.

JOB SUMMARY: –
The Instructional Designer will be directly responsible for the decisions surrounding the appearance, functioning, and capabilities of the Learning Management System (LMS) of the Ministry of Education and contributes to the successful deployment of instructional design support to the various stakeholders of the Educational Technology Unit.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-
- – Design and develop training resources that empower the relevant stakeholders of ETU in the context of instructional design.
- – Conduct and/or contribute to the delivery of synchronous training, whether face-to-face or online, to support teachers (and other relevant stakeholders) in the various aspects of the instructional design process, for instruction occurring across all delivery modes (face-to-face, blended and/or online)
- – Develop asynchronous resources in various formats (written, audio or video) to support teachers (and other relevant stakeholders) who need assistance in the various aspects of the instructional design process, for instruction occurring across all delivery modes (face-to-face, blended and/or online)
- – Collaborate with educational technologists and other members of the ETU to work on various projects.
- – Under the guidance and instruction of the Director of ETU, collaborate with other personnel from the various divisions and units of the Ministry of Education, on projects that require instructional design support and expertise.
- – Keep abreast of contemporary trends and developments in the area of instructional design within all levels of the education system.-
- – Provide guidance and insight into the visual design, layout and structure of course shells (for each educational level) upon the Ministry of Education’s Learning Management System (i.e., Moodle).
- – Other relevantly assigned duties within the areas of instructional design.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:-
- – Training as evidenced by the possession of a recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Learning Technologies, Distance Education or any related field.

The E-Resource Manager, is responsible for the acquisition, coordination and provision of, the range of e-resources (electronic/digital resources) – ebooks, audiobooks, emagazines, and any other electronic information database – that will be utilized by the teachers and students under the auspices of the Ministry of Education (MoE) and will be required to work closely with the Director of Curriculum, the Head of the Textbook Management Unit, and other relevant personnel to effectively craft and deliver the vision and strategic direction in the management of eResources and its relevant support systems.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-
- – Liaise with internal units of the Ministry of Education to ascertain the nature of the digital resources required across the diverse subject areas taught by teachers.
- – Manage the budget for eResources and relevant support systems, negotiate with relevant suppliers and conduct the relevant contract negotiations and license renewals to optimize value for resources invested.
- – Provide feedback within relevant reports on the use and effectiveness of the acquired eResources to assist in future purchasing decisions and planning.
- – Contribute to the maintenance and updating of records and files regarding the listing of vendors and relevant contacts, pricing, subscription, renewal notes and usage/license agreements.
- – Collaborate with Curriculum Division to build an appropriate repository of Open Educational Resources (OERs) developed by teachers of the Ministry of Education, as well as other external OERs that can be sourced online.
- – Recommend the appropriate system(s) – integrated library systems, discovery tools, electronic resource management (ERM) – to manage the records of acquired eBooks and other eResources.
- – Collaborate with members of Ministry of Education’s ICT Division to configure and implement all relevant systems to manage eResources.
- – Manage and update electronic resource management tools and access software.
- – Maintain and manage the records of the eResources that are stored on the chosen management and discovery system(s).
- – Collaborate with the LMS Administrator of the Educational Technology Division to embed the library of eResources into the School Learning Management System (SLSM), to facilitate ease of access to resources for students.
- – Design and develop appropriate support materials, guides and resources (inclusive of copyright and usage guidelines) in all appropriate formats, which uniquely targets:
