Position Summary

You will be responsible for leading the continuous improvement of our relations with employees and their representatives for the ADC Region working closely with the Head of Human Resources; HR Business Partners and Legal & Compliance Managers based in Trinidad and Tobago, and Jamaica.
A day in the life of…
- You will define and implement employee relations strategies with a Nestlé in the Market approach.
- You will enhance and maintain productive dialogue with employees, Trade Unions, other workers’ representatives, relevant external organisations such as labour councils, employers organizations and national labour conciliation or arbitration authorities.
- You will use CARE as one of the main tools to ensure social compliance across Nestlé activities and to ensure that the market is compliant with the Corporate Business Principles, the relevant labour international commitments as well as local laws and regulations.
- You will promote knowledge and common understanding of the Nestlé Corporate Business Principles, the Nestlé Code of Business Conduct and the Nestlé Employee Relations Policy with the objective that each employee becomes an ambassador of Nestlé Culture, Values and Principles.
What Will Make You Successful
- You must have a Bachelor of Law Degree-this is a mandatory requirement.
- You must have Masters’ Degree in Business Administration / Social Sciences.
- You must have a strong business mindset with management experience in strategic planning, resource allocation and coordination of people and resources.
- You must have prior experience in planning and coordinating activities to ensure compliance with ethical or regulatory standards.
- You must have a strong sense of problem sensitivity and the ability to develop and maintain open relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
- You must have strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to recognize and act on the strengths and opportunities of the company.
- You must have data analysis skills and the ability to measure the effectiveness of business practices and strategies.
- You must be able to act as a Project Manager and anticipate the social impact of business decisions.
- You must have excellent negotiation and communication skills with demonstrated clarity in both oral and written skills.
- You must have a strong understanding of external labour relations environment, regulations and employment trends.
- You must have experience developing and facilitating training content in the field.
- You must have the ability to work in a cross cultural / multi-cultural environment.
- You must have leadership skills & the ability to coach, influence and motivate people at all levels.
