MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

Supports the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process through development of constrained sales forecasts with the Demand Planner and through the creation of Master Production Schedules, Material Requirement Plans, detailed Production Plans and Purchase Requisitions to ensure stock availability for Raw Materials, Packaging Materials and Finished Goods to meet sales forecasts.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Ensures stock availability for raw materials (RM), packaging materials (PM) and finished goods (FG) under the control of the Supply Chain Department, in accordance with Company targets.
• Conducts the monthly Supply Review meetings to develop and agree on the constrained rolling sales forecast with the Demand Planner, S&OP Manager and Operations personnel.
• Collaborates with IT to ensure that all Bill of Materials (BOMs) are created, kept up to date and accurate in the SAP Material Master along with safety stock levels and material lead times.
• Develops Master Production Schedules (MPS) based on the rolling constrained sales forecast for approval.
• Generates Materials Requirement Plans (MRP) using the MPS and as guided by the Stock Policy.
• Creates Purchase Requisitions for RM and PM as guided by the MRP and MPS for approval taking into account pertinent factors such as lead times, storage capacity constraints, contractual agreements and economic order quantities etc.
• Ensures inclusion of all volumes in MPS to meet product innovation and promotion quantities and timelines as required by the constrained sales forecast.
• Monitors activities of Operations to alert of risks to fulfilment of Company production plans, and takes appropriate corrective action in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to minimize these supply risks.
• Promptly alerts of risks to fulfilment of RM and PM delivery dates and take appropriate corrective action in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to minimize these supply risks.
• Ensures appropriate depletion of inventory for FG to be discontinued to minimize write-off of materials due to obsolescence.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management/Logistics/Operation Management/ Business Management.
• CIPS would be an asset.
• At least five (5) years’ experience in Supply Planning, Production Scheduling or Sales and Operations Planning.
• At least five (5) years’ in a customer service environment, a technical or commercial environment together with demonstrated Supply Chain knowledge.
• Sound experience with computerized ERP systems.
• Good working knowledge of Office Productivity Tools, such as, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point.
• A suitable combination of experience and education.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for leading and managing our Export and Import Logistics Department including strategy and operational execution. The operational scope includes optimization of Export customer delivery service, sourcing decisions and consolidations, freight vendor management, department and personnel development, effective communications, compliance management / execution, supply chain management solutions and Export order entry / order processing functions. This position liaises closely with the Commercial Managers, Export Business Development Manager, Senior Manager – Trade Marketing, Inventory Manager, Procurement Manager, S&OP Manager, Global affiliates, International Marketing, R&D, Legal, Regulatory, Third-Party Logistics Partners and Government bodies. A key focus of this position is to support both current and emerging global growth businesses in terms of distribution costs, services and transportation. This position may also support Supply Chain projects that may not be directly related to Export and Import.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Provides strategic leadership and management of Logistics department and activities in alignment with vision set for company.
• Optimizes and establishes standardized documented processes and procedures for Logistics operations.
• Evaluates budgets and expenditures and manages operational cost in support of the Group’s financial objectives.
• Updates and evaluates metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
• Sets vision with regards to team structure, roles and responsibilities and lead all people management activities for the logistics staff through performance reviews, recognition, coaching, succession planning and employee development.
• Ensures delivery goals and objectives for all exported products are maintained and implemented in accordance with established practices.
• Establishes effective communication channels and builds / maintains relationships with all connecting functions and stakeholders including affiliate partners within the destination supply chain and business teams.
• Implements Logistics initiatives to ensure best practice in partnering with Vendors to achieve competitive pricing and advantage and provide Customers with value-added services.
• Coordinates training programs for new hires and further education and development for current team members.
• Leads or participates in performance management activities of product to and from TDL and retail shops, haulers, third party logistics providers including ocean carriers, 3PL warehousing, drayage carriers, brokers, etc. to improve efficiency and service level.
• Maintains strong communication links with industry stakeholders on compliance activities.
• Provides interpretations and business process solutions to insure Regulatory and Legal Compliance.
• Participates and leads Business Process Reviews with Affiliates, Vendors and Customers.
• Manages the Export Customer Service team to ensure all orders (Ex-Bond and Export) are fulfilled on time and in full (OTIF) per customs and country requirements.
• Manages the supply, maintenance, and certification of TDL-owned fleet of tanks.
• Supports Supply Chain projects that may not be directly related to Export or Import as assigned by the Senior Manager Supply Chain.
• Leads and promotes a culture of safety within the departments and ensures compliance with all relevant HSSE policies and procedures.
• Compliance as per all Group’s Policies and Procedures and in accordance with standards set from time to time by law, Government agencies, relevant industry associations and internally set corporate goals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Logistics Management.
• Advanced technical or business certification.
• 5+ years of leadership and/or supervisory experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in logistics planning, transportation, warehousing, or related experience.
• Experience with Global Transportation and working Industry knowledge – Export and Import.
• Working knowledge of Export and Import Compliance and Trade.
• Experience in Vendor Management and Freight Analysis & Negotiation.
• Experience working in cross-functional internal and external teams.
