KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Conduct process audits (identify areas of compliance, opportunities for improvement with the processes and documented procedures), document and communicate/ report findings to relevant personnel.
2. Perform GMP, Food Safety, Sanitation, Facility and Food Defense inspections of the facility and documentation. Prepare and circulate reports.
3. Keep the Quality Assurance Programme for production processes updated, review at minimum annually and as changes are made.
4. Support with integration of statistical process control into production processes.
5. Review process control charts, address discrepancies identified and report to relevant personnel.
6. Review of quality parameters and report on trends and deviations.
7. Work with production to audit yield variances on a quarterly basis
8. Support with Quality training and awareness.
9. Review and update Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures in accordance with Quality and Food Safety Standard Documentation.
10. Ensure that all activities are performed in accordance with GMPs and the Company’s safety, health and the environmental guidelines.

Qualifications & Training

• BSc in Chemistry, Food Science or other related field.
• Ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions in a timely manner.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel at a minimum.

• Effective oral and written communications skills.
• Flexible team player who can prioritize effectively and juggle multiple concurrent projects.
• Keen attention to detail.
