Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the offices of Auditor III (Range 53), In
the Public Service.SALARY: Range 53: $11,902 – $13,688/$14,610 per month (2019).
Applicants who are not public officers are advised that the maximum age for recruitment shall be fifty (50) years in accordance with Regulation 16 (1) of the Civil Service Regulations, made pursuant to the Civil Service Act, Chapter 23:01 of the Revised Laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF WORK:
An employee in this class is responsible for the audit examination of accounts of varying complexity. Work ranges from the initial checks of records of expenditure and revenue, to the examination of journals, subsidiary ledgers and a variety of other subsidiary records. Work is performed in accordance with general departmental objectives and procedures and is reviewed by a superior through investigations, reports and discussions.
MINIMUM TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Training as evidenced by a professional qualification in Accountancy which is acceptable to the recognised local accountancy association.
