The Mechanic is required to service and maintain and keep in good order all ground service equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct daily inspections and preventive maintenance on all ground support equipment (GSE) to ensure safe operation.
- Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and remove unsafe equipment from service until fully repaired.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and daily reports.
- Manage parts inventory and source required spares.
- Prepare equipment for regulatory inspections and ensure airside compliance.
- Respond to emergency and after-hours maintenance requests as required.
- Operate motorised and non-motorised equipment safely in accordance with AVOP and safety standards.
- Perform mechanical repairs across braking, electrical, hydraulic, engine, cooling, and drive systems.
- Ensure compliance with QHSE, ISO, and ISAGO standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe workshop and follow all safety procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- Certification in Heavy Duty, Commercial, or Automotive Mechanics
- Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in GSE or field-based mechanical operations.
- Strong diagnostic skills and ability to work independently under time-sensitive conditions.
- Familiarity with ramp safety protocols and airside operational constraints.
- Willingness to work outdoors in dynamic ramp environments and respond to live operational needs.
- Valid driver’s license
