General Accountability
The Data Entry Assistant is responsible for providing support services for processing back office transactions for the ICs and Agents. He/she supports the functions of the frontline IC staff by assisting with cheque and statement distribution and ensuring customer care is maintained within established standards directly and via telephone contact.

Print and distribute cheques
- Ensure cheques are properly aligned, printed and updated; authorized signature(s) affixed and made available for distribution to customers
Custody of Signature Plates (when applicable).
- Use the signature plates for the signing of cheques and/or statements
- Ensure the plates are secured when not in use to avoid unauthorized access, (when applicable)
Assist in processing deposits to accounts.
- Effect transactions to accounts based on source documents for ATM and Fast D deposits
- Credit unitholders accounts with deposits received via external agencies on behalf of UTC
- Process deposits received on behalf UTC by external Agencies including Banks, Credit Unions
Process standing orders and/or salary deduction sent by the payroll departments of other companies
- Receive documents and compare source of payments to the documents with the names and accounts numbers to be credited
- Refer any discrepancies to the institution or the Supervisor for correction (where applicable).
- Credit standing orders/salary deductions’ to respective accounts
Process the transfer of funds between accounts
- Effect the transfer of unitholders funds from one account to another as per the completed and approved Transfer forms
Manage the CSC filing system
Proper management of all customer files, which include company files, Day’s Work etc.
The selected candidate must possess the following combination of qualifications, skills, training and experience:
- Passes in five (5) GCE Ordinary Level CXC/CSEC Ordinary Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics at General Proficiency Grades 1, 2 or 3 with a maximum of 2 subjects at Grade 3
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar role
- High confidentiality and integrity
- Passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Good communication skills
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Products
- Ability to work in teams
