One thing is certain, we are all being forced to make adjustments one way or the other. Where fitness is concerned we are now asked to exercise at home.

The term “quarantine weight” was coined, as most of us have binged watched movies and binged snacked. We even tried recreating our favourite restaurant recipes at home. Added to that, most people were less mobile since we were confined to the house for about 3 months.

In most cases, gyms and even outdoor exercise and sporting facilities were deemed to be high risk and have been closed since mid-March 2020. Since most gyms barely made a profit some have since gone out of business, never to open its doors again. The need to get fit while staying safe makes it necessary to exercise at home.

When children are exposed to healthy habits, like a proper diet and exercise, the benefits carry with them through to their adult lives. When the entire family is involved it would help with another serious issue arising from the “stay at home orders”. This is the aiding in not only physical health but also mental health.
