      Hand Arnold Career Opportunities Job Title: CUSTOMS CLERK – GRADE II

      Job Summary:
      Reporting to the Customs Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing support in accordance with the Company’s vision and strategic plan and will have the responsibility for handling Customs assignments and overseeing the duties of the more junior staff occasionally. This individual will be a key member of the Company’s Customs Team.

      KEY DUTIES

      • Preparation of all customs related documents (Import/Export, Ex- Warehousing and Health Import permits)
      • Coordinate the relevant functions for the clearance of Cargo at the various Ports
      • Other Customs related duties and functions

      KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

      • Must have knowledge & experience of Customs Tariff codes, Custom Laws both Local & International
      • Knowledge of the Ace Customs program
      • Good understanding of how the shipping line operates
      • Ability to motivate & supervise staff
      • Strong organization skills with the ability to meet deadlines
      • Sound analytical and decision-making skills
      • Assertive and takes initiative
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

      QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

      • Grade II Customs Clerk License/Certification
      • At least two (2) years experience working in a similar capacity
      • A minimum of five (5) CXC/GCE O’Level passes, including Math and English
      • Computer literate
      • Valid Driver’s Permit



      Hand Arnold Career Opportunities Job Title: BRAND MANAGER 

      Job Summary:
      Responsible for developing objectives and strategies for brand(s) required to meet sales, distribution and profit targets. This is done through the development and implementation of marketing and sales plans, and coordination of all activities necessary to achieve the required results. This includes, but is not limited to, logistics, stock control, trade visits and customer servicing.

      PRINCIPAL DUTIES

      Sales and Marketing:

      • Formulate the brand’s marketing objectives and strategies through research (industry, competitive etc.) and analysis to ensure brand development. Ensuring the A+P budgets are effectively managed, liaising with Principals, Advertising Agencies, Media houses and other relevant parties in the process.
      • Ensure all plans are implemented within timelines and within budget.
      • Regularly monitor progress and measure results against targets in a timely manner.
      • Analyse results and suggest alternative measures required to ensure continued success.
      • Report on results in a timely manner. This will include preparing various reports for Principals & Division Head.

       

      Logistics and Coordination:

      • Regularly liaise with Purchasing staff to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained at all times.
      • Coordinate/liaise with Warehouse, Customers and any other relevant Departments/staff to ensure the timely flow of products from Principals to Customers.

       

      Communication:

      • Regularly communicate with Principals and Suppliers, informing them of current market conditions and developments to ensure their expectations are met.
      • Communicate with and train and all relevant staff (including but not limited to Sales Representatives, Warehouse and Sales Administrative staff) on product changes, attributes and developments.
      • Communicate with Customers directly and/or via Sales team to ensure brand objectives are met.
      • Communicate with relevant statutory authorities to ensure compliance.

       

      Miscellaneous:

      • Perform any other related duties that may be required.

       

      QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

      •  Tertiary level training in Marketing or any other related discipline.
      •  Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar capacity.

       

      KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

      •  Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
      •  Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
      •  Must possess sound analytical and problem solving skills.
      •  Must be able to multi-task.
      •  Must possess a dynamic personality.

      Hand Arnold Career Opportunities Job Title: SALES MANAGER

      Job Summary:

      Coordinating the supply of goods and logistics support including requisitioning, receiving, costing and pricing of goods in accordance with policy guidelines.

      PRINCIPAL DUTIES

      • Provide general logistics support to Divisional Director and Divisional Managers including costing and pricing of goods.
      • Provide accurate and timely information to key stakeholders regarding slow moving and close to expiry stock.
      • Ensure that adequate inventory levels are maintained.
      • Conduct all relevant follow up activities and maintain appropriate records.
      • Communicate regularly with suppliers to place and approve orders and with shippers regarding consolidation and order status.

       

      QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

      • Pursuing certification in Logistics, Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or A’ Level/CAPE certification with distinction in Mathematics or Additional Mathematics.
      • A minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar position.

       

      KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

      • Excellent negotiation skills
      • Proficient in Microsoft suite
      • Strong experience of rigorously adhering to detailed procedures
      • Strong communication skills, with excellent verbal and written English

      Job Summary:
      The incumbent will be responsible for achieving/exceeding the sales quota allocated at the start of each financial year,  pursuing new business opportunities, monitoring competitor activities, collecting and balancing cash/stock against sales on a daily basis and attending to damaged goods both from the customer and on the van to ensure they are documented and returned to the warehouse.

      Requirements:

      • Must be over 25 years of age and a holder of a valid Heavy-T driver’s permit.
      • At least five years prior sales experience in a similar fast moving consumer goods industry.
      • A minimum of three CXC O’Level passes inclusive of Maths and English
      • A valid police certificate of good character

       


      Hand Arnold Career Opportunities Job Title: VAN SALES ASSISTANT

      Job Summary:
      The incumbent will be responsible for assembling customers’ orders from stock, loading/unloading trucks manually, delivering items when assigned to delivery trucks, reading invoices, assisting the salesman in providing quality service to customers and aiding the salesman directionally as well as watching for the safety of the vehicle and its goods.

      Requirements:

      • A minimum of three CXC O’Level passes inclusive of Maths and English
      • Good verbal communication; ability to follow oral and written instructions
