      Description

      The job incumbent is required to transfer hardcopy information from lists/ books/files onto a computerized system, as well as providing administrative assistance to the accountant.

      Job Description

      • Provide exceptional customer service as required
      • Balance the cash handled at the end of every business day
      • Accurately enter and build a database for all store inventory (removing old/ obsolete entries as needed)
      • Generate reports on changes in price/ inventory as needed
      • Update online Point of Sale (POS) system consistently (with inventory details and pricing)
      • Transfer hard copy files (generated from stock taking) onto computerized spreadsheets
      • Create “Re-Order/Out of Stock” listings weekly/ monthly (as requested by Manager) to assist with purchasing of items
      • Maintaining a database, ensuring that records are complete and current.
      • Recording information, processing, and filing forms.
      • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; and verifying receipt of supplies.
      • Liaise with Stock Manager to maintain inventory accuracy for database
      • Spot check inventory and pricing (on POS system and in house) to maintain accuracy
      • Perform various administrative duties as needed (e.g. type documents, fax, copy files etc.)
      • Performs any other duties, as assigned by Manager/ Supervisor

      Qualifications and EXPERIENCE

      • A minimum of five (5) CXC O’Level passes inclusive of Accounts, English Language and Mathematics
      • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an office environment
      • Previous accounting experience will be an asset
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.)
