Of course, you should speak to the technician before showing up with a broken phone, replacement parts and a suggested labour cost.

Just like Wikipedia the website is user created, anyone can create a repair manual, and other users can then improve them. iFixit’s site is used by thousands of people from around the world from all walks of life from engineers to average tinkerers. iFixit is home to 68,877 free manuals, 171,938 solutions, for 31,858 devices.
iFixit is one of the more known entities in the “Right to repair” community. It has been known for a long time that certain manufacturers intentionally either through design or through software updates render older models of their products obsolete or less productive.
