Job Description

Objective:

The merchandiser supervisor will ensure that all tasks and duties given to merchandisers are effectively and efficiently carried out. The incumbent would be responsible for the scheduling and performance of all merchandisers.

Key Responsibilities & Performance Standards:

• First hand supervision of the merchandising team to ensure that all elements of merchandising are strictly adhered to (Route adherence, Log Sheets, FIFO/Rotation, Housekeeping, POP, Planograms).
• Agree with the sales team on scheduling of merchandisers and submit a monthly, proposed schedule for review and approval by Sales Manager.
• Communicate schedules, tasks and duties to merchandisers.
• Liaise with customers to ensure that all necessary approvals, rules and guidelines governing merchandising in-stores are known and communicated to all relevant personnel.
• Continuously perform trade visits to ensure that all merchandisers are efficiently and effectively performing all tasks and duties – submittal and review of weekly report of same.
• Ensure all Promotional/Rental Displays are executed on the Trade by Merchandising Team.
• Maintain all Merchandising KPIs for the Consumer Department.
• Acquire additional space for new brands/products on the Trade.
• Coordinate new store openings with Merchandising and Marketing Team.
• Prepare and distribute monthly reports on MSR forms in order to measure and improve MSR efficiency.
• Coordinate with the administrative assistant to verify payments and attendance records.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• A minimum of five (5) CXC Level passes, including Mathematics and English
• A general understanding of marketing skills and techniques as evidenced by a recognized Diploma in any area of Marketing OR
• Completion of two (2) years of tertiary education in Marketing or any related discipline.
• Over two years of retail sales and/or retail supervisory experience will be considered an asset.
